A delegation from National Cooperative Development Corporation (@mdncdc ) led by Shri Siddharth Kumar Nim, Chief Director, Cooperative Development, visited NDDB, Anand, to study the NDDB model of cooperative development.
The delegation was briefed on NDDB’s activities and toured "Tribhuvan" Sahkari University (@tsunivofficial@IRMAOfficial79 ), NDDB's subsidiaries - @NDDB_Calf_25 and @IDMCLtd , to gain insights into cooperative capacity building, scientific initiatives and dairy infrastructure development. They also explored the slurry processing centre at Vasna and Mujkuva village, where they interacted with dairy farmers and observed NDDB’s interventions in manure management, dairy cooperative operations and Solar Pump Irrigators’ Cooperative Enterprise (SPICE).
The delegation further toured @DairyAmul & Tribhuvandas Food Complex, Mogar, and NCDFI (@ncdficoop ), gaining exposure to cooperative-led dairy processing and value addition.
Dr. @ShahMeenesh , Chairman, NDDB, met Shri Gabriel D Wangsu (@wangsu_d ), Hon’ble Minister, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary & Dairy Development, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, to discuss the ongoing interventions and strategies to further strengthen cooperative dairy development in the state.
The discussions focused on expanding dairy development interventions in Arunachal Pradesh aligned with the State’s geographical and logistical requirements. Hon’ble Minister recalled the recent induction of HGM Sahiwal cows in Senua Village, Longding district, undertaken with support from NDDB and NDDB Dairy Services (@NDDBDairyServ ), and appreciated the initiative towards enhancing milk production and improving rural livelihoods.
Other key areas deliberated during the meeting included supply of sex-sorted semen for genetic improvement, improving access to quality fodder, setting up flexi biogas plants and adoption of region-specific dairy development models suited to the varied terrain of the State. Chairman, NDDB also shared details of the mobile Bulk Milk Cooler (BMC) manufactured by @IDMCLtd and currently being deployed in Ladakh, noting its potential suitability for remote and difficult terrains in Arunachal Pradesh.
The meeting also reviewed plans for establishment of two new dairy plants and modernisation and strengthening of two existing dairy plants in the State. It was also decided that state govt. and NDDB would work towards establishing an institutional framework through an MoU for implementation of cooperative dairy development initiatives in the State. Discussions also focused on the supply of fresh milk to the Indian Armed Forces. Dr Shah reaffirmed NDDB’s support to Arunachal Pradesh for the welfare and betterment pf rural livelihoods.
The meeting was also attended by Shri YVVJ Rajasekhar, Secretary, AHVⅅ Dr Sabyasachi Roy, Regional Head (NES) and other officials from the state government and NDDB.
NDDB conducted a three-day Board Orientation Training Programme for the Board of Directors from Vijayapur-Bagalkote District Cooperative Milk Producers Societies Union Ltd., Vijayapur, Karnataka, affiliated with Karnataka Milk Federation @kmfnandinimilk . The programme focused on strengthening leadership, governance practices and strategic understanding while enhancing participants’ perspective on cooperative-led dairy development in India.
The programme covered sessions on the national and international dairy sector scenario, NDDB’s role in sustainable dairy cooperative development, strategic feed and fodder planning, recent developments in dairy plant operations and analysis of the Union’s physical and financial progress. Sessions also highlighted cooperative values and principles, governance excellence and building high-performing work cultures in milk unions.
For practical exposure, participants visited Mujkuva Dairy Cooperative Society to understand cooperative innovations and development interventions. The programme also included visits to Unit-VI of @IDMCLtd , a wholly-owned subsidiary of NDDB, and @DairyAmul 's Tribhuvandas Food Complex at Mogar, Anand.
Dr @ShahMeenesh , Chairman, NDDB, met Dr Abdurrahaman Salim Lawal, Hon’ble Commissioner (Minister), Ministry of Livestock Development (@Ngfmld ), Jigawa State, Nigeria, during his visit to NDDB, Anand, to discuss collaboration for dairy sector development in Jigawa State. The meeting was attended by Ms Mujaddadi Aisha Sheikh (@Iyalle ), DG, Investment (@InvestJigawa ); Shri Chandrashekhar Dhulipudi, CEO, @NaturellDairy ; MD, @NDDBDairyServ ; MD, @IDMCLtd ; and senior NDDB officials.
Dr Shah recalled the visit of H.E. Malam Umar Namadi (@uanamadi ), Hon’ble Governor of Jigawa State, to NDDB, Anand, following which an NDDB delegation visited Jigawa State to assess the livestock sector and explore dairy development opportunities. He highlighted the relevance of India’s cooperative dairy model for Jigawa State and proposed identifying short- and long-term collaboration areas for early interventions. He also briefed the delegation on NDDB and its subsidiaries’ work in dairy equipment, high genetic germplasm, vaccines, animal health and technical interventions.
The Hon’ble Commissioner appreciated NDDB’s support and stressed the need for a structured and sustainable dairy sector in Jigawa State. He expressed interest in collaboration in areas such as genetic improvement, establishment of a semen station, strengthening artificial insemination services, training of dairy personnel, digitisation of the dairy value chain and implementation of household-level biogas models.
Chairman, NDDB reaffirmed NDDB’s commitment to supporting countries with similar smallholder dairy systems and noted the agro-climatic and livestock similarities between India and Nigeria. During the visit, the delegation toured NDDB’s Genomics & OPU-IVF Lab, @IDMCLtd , Sabarmati Ashram Gaushala at Bidaj, @DairyAmul & Tribhuvandas Food Complex, and will also visit @NDDB_Calf_25 and Mujkuva Village.
Dr @ShahMeenesh , Chairman, NDDB, addressed the World Red Cross Day Celebration and Annual Award Ceremony organised by the Indian Red Cross Society (@IndianRedCross ), Anand District Branch, as Chief Guest. Reflecting on his four-decade association with Anand, Dr Shah said that the programme allowed him to truly understand the extensive humanitarian work carried out by the Indian Red Cross Society. Observing that the celebration also coincided with World Thalassemia Day, he underlined the importance of regular blood donation and humanitarian service, while acknowledging the contribution of institutions such as Amul (@DairyAmul ), GCMMF (@Amul_Coop ), IDMC (@IDMCLtd ), Vidya Dairy, Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM), D.N. High School, IRMA (@IRMAOfficial79 ) and NDDB towards rural development, nation-building and social service.
Highlighting the importance of inclusive rural progress, Dr Shah stated that nearly sixty per cent of India’s population resides in villages and emphasised that national development must advance alongside rural prosperity to achieve Hon'ble Prime Minister's Vision of 'Viksit Bharat 2047'. Referring to the establishment of NDDB in 1965 under the vision of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri to replicate the success of Amul across the country, and under the leadership of Dr Verghese Kurien, he outlined the transformative impact of Operation Flood and White Revolution in strengthening rural livelihoods and making India the world’s largest milk producer. He noted that milk production in the country has increased significantly, with the dairy sector contributing extensively towards rural livelihoods and nutrition security.
Chairman, NDDB, also highlighted the role of NDDB and its subsidiaries in strengthening indigenous capabilities across the dairy and animal health sectors. He noted that IDMC has supported domestic manufacturing of dairy machinery under the spirit of 'Make in India', while Indian Immunologicals Ltd. (@indimmune_ ) has contributed extensively towards vaccine production, including rabies vaccines, and ensured vaccine preparedness during the COVID period.
Emphasising the importance of continued contribution towards humanitarian causes and national development, he appreciated the selfless service rendered by volunteers, doctors and health workers, and stressed the need for collaborative efforts in organising blood donation initiatives. Dr Shah further expressed NDDB’s willingness to explore future collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society for humanitarian activities, including blood donation camps. During the programme, awards were also distributed to educational institutions, organisations and individuals for their contribution towards blood collection and humanitarian services.
NDDB organised a special session on “Stress-Free Living and Meditation” at Anand for its employees and their families, featuring an address by Rajyogini Ushaben of the Brahma Kumaris (@BrahmaKumaris ). Dr @ShahMeenesh , Chairman, NDDB, welcomed the speaker, and the programme saw participation from employees of GCMMF (@Amul_Coop ), AMUL (@DairyAmul ), IDMC (@IDMCLtd ), NCDFI (@ncdficoop ), Vidya Dairy and NDDB, reflecting a shared commitment to holistic well-being.
In her address, Rajyogini Ushaben outlined three key aspects of stress in the modern world—the rapid pace of change and rising complexities requiring presence of mind; the need to “find new bearings” through clarity of purpose and alignment of personal and organisational values; and the importance of developing inner self-management skills such as focus, flexibility, calmness, and tolerance.
She described stress as a function of pressure and resilience, noting that while pressures arise from past, present, and future concerns, resilience must be built from within. Highlighting how stress operates in a self-reinforcing loop, she emphasised effective communication, simplicity in approach, and managing negative tendencies. She concluded by describing stress as a signal for change, advocating positive thinking, meditation, and conscious relaxation to remain balanced and proactive.

दूध और दुग्ध उत्पादों के ऑन-साइट परीक्षण को सक्षम बनाने के लिए एनडीडीबी की पूर्ण स्वामित्व वाली सहायक कंपनी @IDMCLtd से ₹45 लाख की लागत से एक अत्याधुनिक मोबाइल प्रयोगशाला ली गई है जिससे गुणवत्ता और खाद्य सुरक्षा मानकों का अनुपालन सुनिश्चित किया जा सके।
इस हेतु भारत सरकार राष्ट्रीय डेयरी विकास कार्यक्रम (NPDD) योजना के तहत ₹15 लाख की अनुदान प्रदान की गई है और शेष लागत लद्दाख मिल्क फेडरेशन द्वारा वहन की जा रही है।

लद्दाख मिल्क फेडरेशन @LadakhOma के लिए स्थापित यह आधुनिक संयंत्र @Dept_of_AHD के राष्ट्रीय डेयरी विकास कार्यक्रम (NPDD) के तहत स्वीकृत अनुदान राशि, एनडीडीबी के अनुदान राशि तथा शेष राशि लद्दाख प्रशासन/फेडरेशन द्वारा वहन की जा रही है। सौर ऊर्जा आधारित यह संयंत्र ‘मेक इन इंडिया’ के अंतर्गत एनडीडीबी की पूर्ण स्वामित्व वाली सहायक कंपनी @IDMCLtd विकसित किया जा रहा है।
संचालन शुरू होने पर लगभग 2,500 किसानों को संगठित और पारदर्शी बाजार उपलब्ध होगा जिससे उनकी आय और आजीविका में सुधार होगा।

एनडीडीबी के स्टॉल में White Revolution 2.0, सहकारी ढांचे को सशक्त बनाने की पहलें तथा एंड्रॉइड आधारित AMCS जैसी डिजिटल तकनीकों को प्रदर्शित किया गया। लद्दाख मिल्क फेडरेशन के स्टॉल में एनडीडीबी द्वारा किए गए सुधारों—जैसे पारदर्शी दुग्ध संकलन बेहतर मूल्य निर्धारण, अवसंरचना विकास और @LadakhOma ब्रांड के सशक्तिकरण—के परिणामस्वरूप हुए उल्लेखनीय विस्तार को दर्शाया गया।
एनडीडीबी की पूर्ण स्वामित्व वाली सहायक कंपनी @IDMCLtd के स्टॉल में स्वदेशी डेयरी इंजीनियरिंग समाधान, सोलर संचालित मिल्क कूलिंग यूनिट और आधुनिक दुग्ध उपकरणों का प्रदर्शन किया गया जबकि मदर डेयरी ( @MotherDairyMilk ) ने अपने विविध उत्पाद पोर्टफोलियो और लद्दाख में विस्तार योजनाओं के माध्यम से मजबूत फार्म-टू-कंज्यूमर मॉडल को प्रदर्शित किया।
इसके अतिरिक्त, ‘पश्मीना: लद्दाख की विरासत’ स्टॉल में स्थानीय कारीगरों की पारंपरिक शिल्पकला को प्रदर्शित किया गया, वहीं कृषि एवं बागवानी स्टॉल में लद्दाख के जैविक उत्पाद, मूल्य वर्धित वस्तुएं और जलवायु अनुकूल कृषि की पहलें प्रस्तुत की गईं।
समग्र रूप से, इन प्रदर्शनों ने लद्दाख में डेयरी, कृषि, सहकारिता और स्थानीय आजीविका को सशक्त बनाने की दिशा में हो रहे परिवर्तनकारी प्रयासों को प्रभावी रूप से प्रस्तुत किया।
The National Dairy Development Board conducted a Dairy Cooperative Management Programme for dairy professionals affiliated to Mysuru Milk Union, Karnataka @kmfnandinimilk . The programme was designed to equip participants not only with knowledge of dairy cooperative management but also with a comprehensive, end-to-end perspective on how dairy cooperatives have evolved and expanded over time.
The programme also covered field visits which provided participants with direct exposure to the dairy ecosystem. Visits to NDDB's wholly-owned subsidiary @IDMCLtd , "Tribhuvan" Sahkari University @IRMAOfficial79 , @tsunivofficial , @DairyAmul Plant & its display gallery, the dairy cooperative society at Mujkuva, Anand, @Amul_Coop 's Amul Fed Dairy, Gandhinagar and the Tribhuvandas Food Complex at Mogar enabled participants to observe best practices across milk procurement, processing, quality testing and value-added product manufacturing. An interactive session with officials at Amul Fed Gandhinagar further enhanced the learning experience. Classroom sessions on achievement, motivation along with a dedicated Wellness beyond Work session ensured a holistic & well-rounded programme.
Through a blend of field immersion and focused classroom sessions, the programme helped participants develop a comprehensive understanding of dairy cooperative management, its processes and evolution.

Dr @ShahMeenesh , Chairman, NDDB and IDMC Limited (@IDMCLtd ), inaugurated the state-of-the-art QA/QC Laboratory in the presence of Shri Rajkumar Malik, MD, IDMC; Shri Chandra Prakash, ED, IDMC; and other officials from IDMC Limited and NDDB.
The advanced facility ensures end-to-end quality assurance—from raw materials to finished products—while enhancing hygiene and compliance with international standards under the Make in India vision. Equipped with high-precision instruments traceable to NABL (@NABL_QCI ), the lab will drive accuracy and measurement reliability across all operations.
Dr Shah stated that the laboratory reflects IDMC’s commitment to quality and precision in the dairy and food processing sectors. He noted that integrating modern equipment allows the company to set higher benchmarks and build global customer confidence, emphasizing that this facility will drive sustained innovation and reinforce IDMC’s leadership in delivering world-class equipment.
During their visit to NDDB, Anand, Shri Shirsat Kapil Ashok, Secretary for Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources, Govt. of Bihar & Chairman, Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation Ltd. and Shri Sameer Saurabh, MD, @COMFED_Sudha met Dr. @ShahMeenesh , Chairman, NDDB to review dairy development initiatives in Bihar and explore ways to further strengthen the cooperative ecosystem.
During the discussions, the delegation highlighted continued progress of COMFED supported by central & state government initiatives like ‘Sahakar Se Samriddhi’ and ‘Saat Nischay Yojna’ along with plans to expand outreach at the grassroots level.
Key focus areas emerged during the discussions were breed improvement, infrastructure expansion, fodder and nutrition, and strengthening veterinary and extension services.
Opportunities in diversification, technology adoption such as AMCS/ERP under @jica_direct_en projects, and capacity building were also discussed, along with renewable energy initiatives like biogas and manure model.
The meeting also explored strengthening supply chains through collaborations with @indimmune_ and @IDMCLtd , while leveraging NDDB’s expertise across allied sectors.
As part of the visit, the delegation was briefed on NDDB’s initiatives and visited key facilities including the OPU-IVF & genomics lab, IDMC Limited and @DairyAmul . They also interacted with Dr. Amit Vyas, MD, Amul, an visited Mujkuva village to witness grassroots dairy operations.
The IDF Regional Dairy Conference Africa 2026, themed “Driving Dairy Competitiveness and Sustainability in Africa and Beyond,” is underway at Victoria Falls, Republic of Zimbabwe, bringing together global dairy leaders and stakeholders.
NDDB, on behalf of the Indian National Committee of the International Dairy Federation (@FIL_IDF ), is promoting the IDF World Dairy Summit 2027 to be hosted in India. This Summit will serve as a vital platform for essential discussions, strategic networking and impactful collaborations. The NCDFI team (@ncdficoop) had the privilege of hosting Shri Prakash Maheshwari, MD, IDMC (@IDMCLtd), at the Anand office as he approaches his superannuation.
