Am 20. Mai 2025 wurde im Museum „Site of Witness and Memory“ in Shkodër die Ausstellung „Unforeseen Journeys of Life - Albania Untold Stories“ feierlich eröffnet. Der gewählte Termin war von besonderer symbolischer Bedeutung: Er fiel auf den 52. Jahrestag des Aufstands im Gefängnis Spaç – ein historisches Ereignis, das eindrucksvoll an den Widerstand gegen das kommunistische Unrechtssystem in Albanien erinnert.

Im Zentrum der Ausstellung stehen die Lebensgeschichten ehemaliger politischer Gefangener in Albanien. Die eindrucksvollen Porträtfotografien von Dong-ha Choe, kuratiert von Jonila Godole, geben diesen Biografien ein Gesicht und machen individuelle Erfahrungen von Repression, Überleben und Erinnerung sichtbar. Die Ausstellung schafft einen Raum der Reflexion über Unrecht, Verantwortung und historische Aufarbeitung – nicht nur im nationalen, sondern auch im gesamteuropäischen Kontext.
