A 33-year-old IDOC resident housed at the Saguaro Correctional Center has died due to an apparent act of self-harm. Correctional staff initiated life-saving measures, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The resident was pronounced dead at 2:41 p.m. local time on Saturday.

A 56-year-old Central Arizona Florence Correctional Complex (CAFCC) resident, who was found unresponsive, has died. CAFCC staff performed life-saving measures until EMT arrived. The resident was pronounced dead at 7:20 p.m., Mon. 4.13.26. Local law enforcement is investigating.

A 54-year-old Idaho State Correctional Center resident, who was found unresponsive, has died. The resident was pronounced dead at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. No foul play is suspected.

IDOC is issuing a notice of death of a male inmate housed on death row at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution. Erick Hall passed away on February 9, at 9:58 p.m. from natural causes at a local hospital. Hall was serving a death sentence for two first-degree murder convictions.

On Saturday, January 17, 2026, an IMSI staff member, a 56-year-old corporal, was brutally assaulted by inmate Robert David Pompa. The staff member was transported to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center, where they remain hospitalized in stable condition.

The resident was pronounced dead at 10:25 a.m. on Friday. No foul play is suspected. The Idaho State Police is investigating.
