@DcrInYYC I grew up obsessed with history. Something I noticed is that everything repeats itself. Some act as if it's inevitable, but it really isn't. Every collapsed society in history has in common that everyone pretended like it was all fine as it burned around them. No one tried.
@SDK1880857@Atmosphaeria Why do you like brighter colors? Why do you like flowers or rainbows, etc, etc? People just like what they like. Imagine if the question you asked was turned on you.
@Atmosphaeria In some towns, it lasted into the 90s and early 2000s. Don't tell me it didn't, because I clearly remember my childhood being told I'd go to hell and was selling my soul because I asked a question about DND.
@AndyLeeParker1 Ngl, the majority of my brain would actually be functional if I didn't live in a capitalist hellscape.
I have severe C-PTSD and yet the majority of things my therapist and I have to work through are related to my current economic circumstances. Go figure.
@TheCinesthetic Almost all of the films I watched as a kid. Almost all of them ended with "and then they realized they couldn't fight social convention"
@DcrInYYC The thing that I didn't understand was that it's not a unanimous decision. There are people who legitimately think everything is fine and they're the ones who caused this. It makes me wonder if it was the same in the past; were there people like us begging for others to listen?

@ThePOTSPostman Tilt table is the worst. Everything else, you can be sedated, but that you HAVE to be awake. My supervisor's mom apparently has to have one multiple times a year and I ???
@mahkohime@clhubes Having ginger ale and crackers on hand helps recovery. I did get better as I got older and being able to sit in the front seat definitely helps, so she might get lucky and grow out of it!
