IESC improves the safety and quality of ag imports to the U.S. and other markets by strengthening plant health monitoring from farm to post-harvest. We support better pest management, diagnostics, & lab capacity to help farmers grow healthier crops & meet international standards.

IESC uses Farmer Field Schools to encourage knowledge transfer among smallholders who learn from one another through practice and discovery on a farm. With strong leadership from community farmers, good agricultural practices are adopted more easily, empowering whole communities.

The Laluni Farmers' Group in #Guyana now has 4 portable electric pruning saws thanks to IESC through the @usaidescarib #Caribbean Agricultural Productivity improvement Activity (CAPA). These saws will help farmers enhance productivity & reduce pest and disease occurrences.

The @USAIDGeorgia Industry-led Skills Development Program & BTU offer training tailored to meet the needs of Georgia’s ICT companies, like the Coding School for 1,500 Women. Former participant Nini built a career in digital marketing and now mentors other women in tech programs.
