@melodylesbian@oreidostolos@Penombrahh@om3gath4@EEndlessvoid@emeraldradiated Like... That is a woosh. You do not get a Woosh like that when something falls on the ground the way a corpse would. You'd expect a thud, or a rattle or something like that.
And that SFX has only ever been used to represent monsters turning to dust. Nowhere else.
@melodylesbian@oreidostolos@Penombrahh@om3gath4@EEndlessvoid@emeraldradiated ... except for the fact that with Sans we see both of these things happen.
Like, the dust turning sfx at the end of his fight literally CANNOT represent anything else, it can't be his body falling, or anything like that. It's THE most obvious answer, cuz it's the only one we see
@Penombrahh@om3gath4@EEndlessvoid@emeraldradiated okay... so, you know the theory that sans is actually from deltarune in both games?
And you know that we hear him turn to dust off-screen at the end of the genocide route (Literally the exact same sound effect.)
@FumoLazy1999@barofsoap418 My point is, being able to bleed isn't necessarily evidence that monsters don't turn to dust, because Sans does Both of those things, we see it happen.
@FumoLazy1999@barofsoap418 That is, as you have stated, a technicality. And deltarune is written with the assumption thay you've played Undertale, so they wouldn't need to explain how Turning to Dust works.
We know sans is originally from Delta, and he turns to dust offscreen in undertale's geno route.
@DarkWokeFoid@_gurusandhu_ Okay, but like... I've said this so many towns by now, Monsters do not leave corpses.
It is not possible for onion-san to have been killed and cooked into takoyaki. Because that would literally just be a bunch of dust.
And I don't think you can sell Dust-based food legally.
@SweaterPuppys@pankakijyann@OctomarOctomart If the game were to take place in Japan instead, they'd be using ¥ for Yen, and this would be true in the english localization as well.
@SweaterPuppys@pankakijyann@OctomarOctomart It's about place, not language.
The dollar ($) sign is used when talking about dollars, regardless of language, as multiple countries have dollars as their currency. Deltarune takes place somewhere (likely america) where Dollars are the main currency, ergo, $.
@jmoriboy Like, It's funny and all, but makes no actual sense for this to be what Actually Happened. Monsters don't exactly leave corpses in this 'verse.
@jmoriboy monsters turn to dust.
onion's a monster (they got sealed alongside everyone else in undertale.)
That takoyaki would have actual, literal ashes inside, I doubt the bird thingy wouldn't be arrested for suspicion of murder or something if they tried that stuff.
@cherriinie Honestly, I thought this was a codnplate for a bit, but I simply misremembered something.
I thought Susie had Bracers (Basically forearm armor) but no, she just has her spiked bracelets. Those could catch a weapon, maybe, but they wouldn't block the blow.
@zrtaylor_@Noookem@catinakimono2 This is hinted at directly by this Post-Reset toriel dialogue (Only shows up during the butterscotch-cinnamon question call if you've reset the game before) in which she says all humans (not just the player) give her a strange sense of Deja Vu upon meeting them for the 1st time.
@zrtaylor_@Noookem@catinakimono2 Have you considered the fact that Determination, beyond being a resource, could also be Actual Willpower, and as such, someone being beaten over and over again might drain their willpower and ability to persist beyond death?
@delanithefirst@OrevaZSN Yes, but
You need to polish the wood ocassionally, as using the board will cause little grooves to be cut into it, which allows moisture to build up and germs to grow.
Polishing it with something like beeswax or mineral oil will make the fibers expand and the grooves fill in.
