At around 10 p.m., yesterday I dozed off, only to suddenly find myself struggling for my life. It felt as though my spirit wanted to leave my body. In my mind, I kept wondering, “Is this how I’m going to die?” I was terrified and panicking.

Then, all of a sudden, I felt it in my Spirit to read out Psalm 118:17. There was a season when I read Psalm 118 every morning and every night until I knew it by heart. I immediately began to declare:

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.”

As I kept reciting those words, I suddenly regained myself and woke up, breathing heavily.

I thank God for His mercy. It felt so real.

And I still stand on that promise: I shall not die, but live, and proclaim the works of the Lord.

Know the Word of God. Hide it in your heart. In times of trouble, it will come to your aid.
