Consul General @Masarung attended the Closing Night of the Indian Film Festival of Alberta (IFFA) hosted by Edmonton Movie Club in Edmonton. @cgivancouver is proud to have partnered with IFFA 2025 as the Title Partner, supporting a celebration of Indian cinema that brought together communities, cultures, and storytellers across Edmonton, Calgary, and Sherwood Park.
The event was graced by the legendary Shri @ikamalhaasan, whose presence lit up the Winspear stage and inspired audiences with his wisdom and love for cinema. The evening also featured a mesmerizing performance by the Tetseo Sisters, an acclaimed Folk Fusion act from Nagaland. IFFA 2025 also presented the First Golden Beaver Award to Padma Bhushan Shri Kamal Haasan, honoring his outstanding achievements in Indian cinema. The award was presented by Consul General @Masarung and Mr. Madhan Selvaraj, Executive Director of IFFA. The event was also graced by Hon. Amarjeet Sohi, Mayor of Edmonton.
