Supporting Right to Repair is important, but so is looking fresh. You can do both thanks to the newest additions to our merch lineup. Come grab a shirt (or three) at our booth at DEF CON this weekend!
It may be old and dusty, but nothing beats firing up your original Nintendo 64 and loading into your favorite game. No matter how long it's been, we believe you should always be able to have some retro fun, and our friend Taylor (IG: tayl0rtech) agrees.
The European government has approved new legislation that makes it easier for consumers to keep their devices working longer. Manufacturers must soon offer better repair options for consumers and repair shops. This includes everything from washing machines and vacuums to tablets and smartphones.
Under this new rule, if you repair instead of replace, you may qualify for an extra year of warranty! This marks another huge win for the Right to Repair movement, but the fight is far from over. Check out the full report from Tagesschau at the link below.

We know repair isn't always easy, but we believe it should always be an option. From circuit boards to musical instruments, nothing is off the table when you've got the right tools. Watch our friend Emerson (IG: tryingtoguitar) rewind this old Stratocaster pickup with some math, a little elbow grease, and some help from our FixHub Soldering Station.
Nintendo's original Virtual Boy may be a relic of the past, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't still be able to power one on and play it today. Watch Ryan (IG: ryansrepairslk) freshen theirs up using our Pro Tech Go and FixHub kits.
Some repairs may take more time than others, but that feeling you get when it's done is totally worth all the blood, sweat, tears, and extra solder. Watch our friend Emerson (IG: tryingtoguitar) bring this 60-year-old guitar to the present day with the help of our FixHub soldering iron.
If your soldering technique includes holding your breath and leaning sideways, we have a project for you.
That wispy smoke coming off your iron is vaporized rosin flux, which irritates your eyes and lungs and isn't something you want to be breathing for years. Our DIY fume extractor pulls it into an activated carbon filter instead, and it's built from a cardboard box, a spare 12V computer fan, a few zip ties, a switch, and a 9V battery. Bonus: it's a soldering project that makes all your future soldering projects safer. Very tidy.
