Apple has released its repair price sheet for the iPhone Duo and owners should be prepared to spend some serious cash when things break.

Need to fix the back glass? $199. What about the rear camera? $229. Did you damage the inner display? Better get your wallet ready. While we don't have our hands on the Duo just yet, the numbers make it clear this will be a difficult and expensive phone to fix. Read more at the link below.

It’s International Repair Day, and we’re celebrating with a giveaway! 🛠️

We’re giving away 3 Pro Tech Go toolkits on each social platforms! To enter, tell us about a repair you’re proud of in the comments. A cracked screen you brought back, a vintage console you revived, a zipper you refused to give up on. Big or small, we want to hear it.

Happy International Repair Day! 🛠️ We teamed up with Google to put ChromeOS Flex in more repairers’ hands!

We’re sending repair groups care packages with preloaded ChromeOS Flex USB sticks, iFixit tools, and repair materials. Because sometimes an old laptop doesn’t need new parts, it needs new software. ChromeOS Flex is Google’s free, lightweight operating system that can make older PCs and Macs fast and useful again.

The stick is reusable, so it lives in your toolkit and moves on to the next computer. And for every stick distributed, Google’s partnership with Closing the Loop’s One for One service collects an equivalent amount of e-waste from unregulated waste sites, sending it to certified recyclers that recover metals like gold, silver, and copper for reuse.

Apple finally folded. The iPhone Duo lands October 23, so here's how it stacks up against the Galaxy Z Fold8 on paper. The spec that's missing? Repairability. We'll fill that in when we get our hands on one.

The Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 are both disappointments when it comes to repairability.

The Ultra 4's frustrating repair experience remains unchanged. The Series 12 sees improvements, sporting a stretch-release adhesive tab and a simpler display connection. But these updates don't mean much if the only repair channel available for the Apple Watch is to take it back to Apple.

We think it's time Apple stepped up to the repairability plate. Read more at the link below.

After years of waiting, the Steam Frame is finally here. While it’s not perfect, we’re happy to see Valve think ahead with its newest headset.

Getting to the fan is an absolute chore, but the optical stack is straightforward and simple to remove. Expanding the storage is also easy, as is replacing the controller batteries. There's definitely room for improvement, but when a cushion wears out or a display breaks, there’s a plausible repair ahead of you. Read more at the link below.

We cracked open the new AirPods 5 expecting the same disposable trash Apple has sold for the last 10 years. They're still bad, but these AirPods may be the first that can actually live longer than their batteries.

The case is a disaster and you won't find any parts or repair manuals from Apple. But the earbuds themselves are an ever-so-slight improvement over previous models. Read more in our full blog.
