📄قدّم طلاب من برنامج الماجستير في السياسات العامة والشؤون الدولية (PPIA) في الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت @AUB_Lebanon وهم نجيب حماده، فاطمة عمرو، وموسى سبيتي، في جلسة حوار مغلقة، تقريراً بحثيّاً بعنوان: "التعليم في لبنان أمام تغيّرات بنيَوية: إدارة تبعات الحرب بدل التكيُّف معها".

شارك في اللقاء وزيرة التربية والتعليم العالي د. ريما كرامي، إلى جانب عدد من النواب منهم د. سليم الصايغ @selimelsayegh ود. أشرف بيضون @AshrafBaydoun وأبراهيم منيمنة @Ibrahim_mneimne، وإداريين في وزارة التربية، إلى جانب ممثلين عن الهيئات التعليمية الرسمية وأساتذة وناشطين وطلاب.

خلال الجلسة، أثنى الحاضرون على جدية الدراسة وأهميتها، وعلى اعتمادها مقاربة تستند إلى الأرقام، بما يساهم في تقديم سياسات عامة مبنية على معطيات علمية وواقعية. هذا وأكدت وزيرة التربية استعداد الوزارة لفتح أبوابها أمام الطلاب، وإتاحة المجال لهم للمساهمة في العمل والجهود المبذولة.

من جهته، اقترح النائب سليم الصايغ أن يقوم الطلاب بعرض الدراسة أمام لجنة التربية النيابيّة، بما يتيح مناقشة توصياتها والاستفادة منها في تطوير النقاش حول سبُل تفعيل وإنقاذ قطاع التعليم في ضوء الحرب الدائرة.

Last week, our Institute, together with the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (@MSFEA_AUB) and the Department of Earth Sciences at @AUB_Lebanon’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences (@fas_aub), in collaboration with Lebanon’s Ministry of Energy and Water (@MEW_Leb) and with the support of the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (@NLinLebanon), convened a stakeholder consultation workshop as part of the development of Lebanon’s National Stormwater Management Strategy.

The workshop brought together representatives from relevant public institutions, academia, experts, and other stakeholders to discuss the work undertaken to date, reflect on the proposed strategic approach, and identify key challenges, priorities, and opportunities for stormwater management in Lebanon. Participants shared their perspectives on the proposed directions of the strategy, implementation priorities, and the institutional and practical considerations that should inform its development. These contributions will feed into the next phase of the process, helping further refine a strategy that is responsive to Lebanon’s context and grounded in both technical evidence and stakeholder experience.

👉🏼 Interns’ Training Session 1: Research Development Manager @Leila_solh led a hands-on workshop on "Research Proposal Development," breaking down what a proposal is, its core components, and practical writing tips. Interns rolled up their sleeves with a practical group exercise: tackling "Problematic A" by drafting context-responsive proposals focused on enhancing inclusive accessibility and sustainable management.

On September 17, 2026, our institute held an orientation session that brought together the 2026 Fall cohort and IFI staff. During the session, IFI Assistant Director @mouradyara7 welcomed our new interns, introduced them to the institute, its work and activities, and provided an overview of what they should expect during the three months ahead.
