The morality police in Tehran were redirected to confront the so called "bohemian" bubbles in the high end neighborhoods. Young Iranians are trying to keep alive some positive vibes in what seems to be a society without prospects. They keep updated with culture and fashion, spend whole salaries for smuggled accessories. The morality police are now targeting the outside players and smugglers, because the bohemians themselves are the children of high ranking officials and IRGC officers. They remain untouchable, for now.

This woman in Iran just had her entire Instagram shut down by the authority and was banned from social media, for singing. Literally just singing. And some people are attacking me for launching a new campaign and asking male singers to stop performing without women on stage? This is exactly the problem. If you’re a male singer in Iran, you have a choice: Stand with women, are banned from singing or stand with our oppressors. There’s no middle. To global musicians: Your support could actually save lives. Join the campaign. Use your voice for the women of Iran who are banned from using theirs. #بدون_زنان_هرگز
