The criminals also spread explosives throughout the city which are triggered by a sensor.

One of the five injured is a 25-year old cyclist who was hit by the explosive when passing through the city resulting in the amputation of both their feet.

The minister has made it clear Brazilians must do everything possible to reduce energy usage.

Due to the drought, the ministry announced starting 1st September the cost of energy would rise - with prices rising an average of 6.78% for those affected.
