Part of why I went for UFO first: I knew I could, I had a bit of motivation to figure it out, and I ran with it all the way to the clear.
At this point I'm going to take a bit of a break from playing Touhou though, playing UM a bunch has set me behind on other hobbies!
Touhou 18: Unconnected Marketeers lunatic no miss.

Not really surprising, I think this isn't that much harder than getting any clear at all of this game with the right card setup. Really fun game overall even if Stage 6 is a bit of a let-down.
Ever since I found UFO lunatic was within my potential range (2012?) I've wanted the full set. LoLK coming out before I grinded UFO had me feel that I couldn't get the full set and because there were two games where the motivation would be knocking out the last one, I didn't.
@Chuckolator It took going back to practice 4 different times (initial route, better route, better summon timings, what to do if I entered with 1 green instead of 2) before I finally stopped making huge mistakes there, it's tough for sure.
Hey I don't tweet and I also don't post puzzles very often (though I will post a ton on my blog when I'm done with some side projects)

I finished playing the entire Dragonforce discography in Clone Hero - these were all sightreads except Galactic Astro Domination, which, to put it mildly, absolute destroyed me. Just wanted to document this somewhere before going for a 5 star on the only other one I missed.
This was a lot of fun and I definitely improved a lot just from going through this - Summers End was a -1 *after* the solo which was pretty painful, and the two FCs are on the other short filler tracks. Too bad I can't claim full 5 star, but maybe someday I'll get GAD.
I made a small Doppelblock: https://t.co/w1getQOYfZ
And also a big-ish Tentaisho: https://t.co/3LWPaBULHT
(the Tentaisho is probably best solved with intuiting and tweaking rather than fully logically)
@Hornlitz A lot of the creativity comes from the NES hardware limitations itself, as implemented by Nintendo. Not to say that cartridge size isn't impactful, but the impact is often felt much more on level space, enemy behavior, text, repeated content etc. than graphics.
@Hornlitz Additionally, most sprites in that game have at most 4 colors - which can then express the color of a pixel in only 2 bits, plus an additional couple bits for which palette of colors should be used for a sprite. Overall, the restrictions of the NES naturally gives small sizes.
