In the madhab we believe that the deceased can hear your speech, and not only that, he also has knowledge of the condition of his family and friends who are alive are in, and that is presented to him, and it has also been reported that he is able to see it as well.

@Bob23290123 These are parables, believers are compared to life and disbelievers compared to death, The Messenger SAW does not make anyone hear, ie guidance is not up to him but rather Allah makes whom He wills hear ie He guides whomever He wills. Truth dsnt benefit the disbeliever in death.
