Priorities

While Punjab is contructing two metro buses right now in Grw and Fsd. Electric buses fleets are functioning in most of districts and Tehsils.

Also Punjab has completed Jinnah institiute of cardiology and Sargodha cardiology.
Cancer hospital is near completion.
Cath labs in DHQ hospitals.

Every other Pakistani sporting hero stepped into a system that already worked. Arshad Nadeem chose a sport that barely existed here, and won the Olympics anyway.

The disrespect Arshad Nadeem is facing after this recent elimination is bizarre. One competition has gone badly, and suddenly we are discrediting his entire contribution and forgetting who this man actually is.

So let me remind everyone. Arshad Nadeem is Pakistan's first ever individual Olympic gold medallist, and our first in athletics. He won our first Olympic medal of any colour since 1992, and our first gold since 1984. He broke the Olympic record twice in a single night. Those facts alone place him among the greatest sporting achievements this country has produced.

But there is something deeper, and it is the part people keep missing. Nadeem did not walk into a sport with a ready-made path to success. When Jahangir Khan broke through in squash in 1980, he entered an established dynasty with a tradition behind him. Our hockey players and our cricketers stepped into cultures where excellence was already the norm, with systems, coaches and heroes in place to pull them forward.

Nadeem had none of that. He chose javelin, a sport that barely exists in this country. Think honestly about what that means: no academies, no circuit, no funding worth the name, no predecessor to copy, and a nation that would not notice him until the very moment he won. He had to become world-class in a vacuum.

That is what makes the story extraordinary. Not just the gold, but the audacity of choosing a path with nothing on it, and walking it to the top of the world.

A bad night is a bad night. It does not touch any of this.
