During the meeting, IIPC New York and the new Consul-General discussed various strategies to attract investment from the American region to Indonesia in the long run.

Direct #investment realization grew at +35.3% (y/y) in the period of January to September 2022 in #Indonesia. The metal industry contributed the biggest share of 25.35%. While most of FDI came from Asia, two countries in the Americas (USA and Canada) were in the top 17.

In Q3 of 2022, #Indonesia recorded 42.1% growth (y/y) in direct #investment realization in 2022, valued at US$ 19.85 Billion (not including financial and upstream oil and gas sectors).

Two countries in the Americas (USA and Canada) are in the top-20 source of FDI.
