There is disappointment in the cadre regarding the bulk transfers of officers from regions to Delhi. We hope Shri Kumar’s leadership will bring positive changes to @MIB_India & address the concerns of IIS cadre.

The Government of India has appointed Shri Chanchal Kumar as the new Secretary of the @MIB_India, replacing Shri Sanjay Jaju.

Shri Kumar, a 1992-batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre, was previously serving as Secretary in the @MDoNER_India.

Appointment of Shri Kumar as Secy, @MIB_India comes at a time when the Govt. is dealing with several narrative challenges. The Indian Information Service cadre is also facing issues related to low morale among Gr-A & Gr-B officers due to delayed promotions and stagnation.
