@UnitedWay @unitedwaychi took the money from the City of Chicago to dole out to the grantees. The grant agreement signed requires ZERO evidence that the grant funds were spent legally. Nonprofits simply attest they wont do anything illegal & send a cute lil report at the end.

ICJIA did it. They executed a grant agreement with the nonprofit who did not qualify, had self-dealing CLEARLY in the application, and is paying unqualified family members with federal taxpayer dollars.
Equating "victims of crime" with "housing instability."

We have requested FOIA for these new documents and are requesting evidence that either
1) ICJIA executed a grant & didnt care about the noncompliance -or-
2) Permitted a nonprofit to substantially edit content in an application to make it look partially eligible after the fact.

and this is also an OBSCENE amount to be paying THREE people - again, for a nonprofit foundation on $2M revenue. Archewell Foundation has declined numerous requests from the public for a procurement policy @IRSnews

Side bar, for those who follow Meghan Markle/Prince Harry: this is an OBSCENE amount of contractor/consultant costs for a nonprofit with $2M in Revenue.
Archewell went under a fiscal sponsor explicitly to avoid these public disclosures in the future. #corruption

1 thing we're noticing in federal grant processes: the feds are prioritizing "unfunded" and "new" nonprofits - those that have never received a dime of fed. funding are awarded "bonus points."
This is why all of these new #corrupt nonprofits are coming out like cockroaches.

We've sent the DOJ & IRS several to investigate since early this year and nothing came of it. The State of Illinois hasnt responded to our complaints/evidence either

The @ILAttyGeneral has received numerous complaints about nonprofits not registered with its Charitable Trust Bureau and they've taken zero action.
