@supertanskiii Sorry but I left Twitter X months ago, I just thought everyone would because of Musk etc. I enjoy your posts and share your anger. The replies you get are from scuzzy Reform types (probably bots). Bluesky far less disputatious but I gave up on it. Not sure why. Keep going!
A reminder of how the OBR Chair described the Tory govt Economic Forecast earlier this year....
"Beyond March 2025 the Tory govt has told us virtually NOTHING....TO CALL THIS FICTION IS GENEROUS"
Tories lie and continue to lie

@SportingLives1 @leicsccc@YorkshireCCC@BBCWYS Foxes TV somehow missed the Rahane dismissal which was very ‘disappointing’ — where are all the professionals? Letting the side down. After all the commentary is exemplary? Have they employed out of work art students at Fuxit TV ?
In 1968, Sidney Poitier was at a press conference at the height of his career.
He made it very clear how he felt about the press.
Funny that I had to find this on a discarded film reel with 1000s of books, Microfiche and films.
Now you can see it.
@DavidKHopps @flintoff11 Yes, never had him down as a man to make such eloquent speeches; he’s really gone up several notches especially after his great and moving supervision of the lost boys in India. Not just a great player.
I asked the Chancellor @RachelReevesMP whether the £9.9 billion spent on unusable or defective PPE could be clawed back by the COVID Corruption Commissioner.
That money could help to eradicate child poverty rather than lining the pockets of Tory donors.👇🏾
I see Geert Wilders has publicly abandoned the policy of the Netherlands leaving the EU saying.
" We see from Brexit that all countries are better off within the European Union. The British showed us the consequences of leaving"
Blimey this is damning - Henry Staunton - sacked post office chair - tells @thetimes why he was allegedly told to stall on sub post mmasters’ compensation payments to help Gov “ limp on” to election without financial liability ..
Lucy Frazer is screeching all over TV this morning about the BBC not being impartial (right wing) enough.
Robbie Gibb was Head of Comms for Theresa May, friend of Johnson, brother of Minister Nick Gibb, and instrumental in start up of GB News. He's now overly influential in BBC.
Dorries claimed he also tried to influence the appointment of the new head of OFCOM.
@arusbridger has been attempting to get a response from the BBC on Gibb's interference, but so far, no response has been forthcoming.
Here, former top BBC journalist Rob Burley writes "Robbie Gibb 'tried to stop me from probing £350m VOTE LEAVE BUS CLAIM'" when Gibb worked at BBC as editor.
In my opinion, Gibb is a terrible influence within the BBC. He absolutely should not be there.

So to sum up, Cameron doesn't recall being briefed on Horizon, Hunt forgot he owned seven flats, Rees-Mogg doesn't remember taking a £6m loan, Villiers forgot she owned £70k-worth of Shell shares and Sunak couldn't recollect his wife's shares in a childcare company
Dave Morley, who ran a Post Office in Notts, reported issues with Horizon. After he disputed a £7,000 discrepancy, he was visited by officials from Post Office and @fujitsu_uk. A phantom transaction happened, in front of their eyes, while they were there. https://t.co/29T0aZM2Mq
As the issue of compensation for miscarriages of justice is rightly in the news, it’s timely to note that in 2014, the government changed the law to make it all but impossible for people wrongly convicted and imprisoned to claim compensation.
