Ash Wednesday begins Lent with a sobering reminder: before there is resurrection, there is death.

We celebrate the empty tomb, but we cannot forget the cross that came first. Jesus makes it clear that the way to true life is through dying to ourselves, not physically, but daily, dying to pride in conflict, dying to temptation. Dying to comfort, control, and self-preservation.

In a culture obsessed with protecting our lives and lifestyles, Jesus offers a different path:

“Whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.”

This Lent, instead of focusing on saving your life, practice losing it for Him. Out of the ashes, Jesus brings resurrection and the only truly abundant life.

ILI's History Makers training materials have been translated into over 60 languages to equip leaders around the world 🌎!

In some nations, these books are the only biblical resource available in the local language outside of the Bible itself. This means people are being trained, discipled, and equipped with tools that otherwise wouldn’t exist in their language.

We are asking you to intercede on behalf of our brothers and sisters who have chosen Christ over comfort, truth over safety, and eternity over survival.

Happy Resurrection Sunday! The empty tomb is just THE BEGINNING!

Easter reminds us of the most powerful truth in history: Jesus Christ is risen. The tomb is empty. Sin has been defeated. Redemption is real. This is the Gospel—the Good News that brings hope to a broken world.

But Easter is not just something we celebrate once a year. It is a call we carry every day. When Jesus rose from the grave, He gave His disciples a mission:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” —Matthew 28:19

That mission still burns in the heart of the Church. And it requires faithful, Spirit-filled leaders—men and women who will proclaim the risen Christ, shepherd the lost, and serve the Church with humility and strength. We believe the resurrection isn’t just our comfort—it’s our commissioning.

Because He lives, we lead.
Because He rose, we go.
Because He redeemed us, we equip others.

This Easter season, let’s do more than remember. Let’s respond. Think of the people around you—your church, your community, the next generation. Will you invest in leaders who will carry the Gospel to the nations, to your neighbors, and to those still waiting to hear the Good News?

Pray for South Asia 🙏! A 7.7-magnitude earthquake centered in Myanmar reverberated across Southeast Asia on Friday, with the scale of death, injury, and destruction slowly coming into view in the war-ravaged nation, where the military government maintains a tight hold.

The earthquake occurred near Mandalay, the second-largest city in Myanmar, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, later followers by a 6.4-magnitude aftershock. Myanmar’s ruling military says hundreds of people have been killed and hundreds more injured, according to Reuters.

In neighboring Thailand, several people were confirmed to have been killed, with dozens more trapped under high-rises and buildings that have collapsed into rubble in Bangkok.

Now is the time to pray for these nations!
