Cart2-D2 wanted to dress up for Halloween this year! Isn't he the most adorable vampire bat you ever did see? And he looks just like this old photo we found laying around! What a coincidence!

On October 31 from 2 to 4 p.m., the cart will make a guest appearance in the Orange Room on the first floor of the Main Library. Stop by to say "boo!" and pick something to check out!

#MayThe4thBeWithYou as you get ready for finals, #Illini! Cart2-D2 knows you can do it!

Hey, #Illini, are you ready for the eclipse? Cart2-D2 is! He's been reading up on eclipses to prepare and was worried he'd miss out on all the fun. Luckily, we were able to find a pair of droid-sized glasses for him at the last minute.

We expect absolutely no complications to arise with this adorable and foolproof plan, and we should have it in place within a year, by next April 1.

Did you know that the Main Stacks has a series of pneumatic tubes that were once used to send information between the 10 floors of the East Stacks? To help patrons more efficiently, we’ve decided to fill the tubes with water and train a school of fish to travel through them.

This Fleet of Information-Spreading Helpers will convey the call numbers for requested items to our Mobilized Operatives Undertaking Search and Extractions, a squad of trained mice who will scamper to the shelves to find the books and carry them to the Circulation Desk.
