Although the corn trial areas had adequate moisture for eatablishment, the soybean trial areas ended up being too dry to get a good stand of covers without drilling into moisture

had a chance to check the sites I had (all but for 1 university trial I havent put eyes on yet). Luckily none were showing any damage but if I hear of any I will let you know.
Luckily my trial locations survived the high winds. That being said, could have done without the hail damage from this weekends storms. Hail damage will be an additional stressor added as well as an easier infection point for disease.
@NStewCBS2 Hi Nick, I am hunting around tomorrow to check some locations for any differences like we saw last year. If I see anything I will let you know. Looks like the worst of it missed my locations but I have yet to confirm.
Here is another good article on the dry weather:residual herbicide interaction. Bottom line is the same. If you planned to use a residual herbicide, then use the residual herbicide.

@MNelson_ISU The quickest way to decaturs farm has two culverts that give you a great launch if you are going anywhere over 15 mph. At 20 you can darn near get the bottles and booms to bounce up out of the bed π
