This team competes in PGF, Perfect Game (PG), LP4U, USSSA OPEN, Alliance, and other premier showcase events throughout the year.

Our philosophy is simple: “We Not Me.”

2029 athletes preferred. Select high-level 2030 athletes may also be considered.

Whitney Strickland (2030) launched her first Over-the-Fence (OTF) home run of her softball career this weekend in Bettendorf, Iowa — and she did it in style.

Trailing 2–0 in the 2nd inning, Whitney crushed a 2-RBI blast that shifted the momentum and powered Illinois Wave 2029–Rodriguez (13U/14U) 🌊 to a 5–4 pool play victory over Esprit Metro 2030 at the President’s Day Slugfest.

The ball was hit so hard it cleared the fence and landed on the next field. 🚀

While temps dipped to a frigid –13°F ❄️, things were heating up inside the Lake Forest College Sports Complex.

Ten Illinois Wave athletes took part in an all-day Lake Forest College Prospect Camp, receiving college-level instruction from Coach Joe Kinsella, his staff, and members of the Lake Forest College Softball team.

Illinois Wave 2029-Rodriguez went to OAW this weekend with a clear purpose — to play, get reps, and sharpen the saw as the team closes out its winter work ahead of the President’s Day Slugfest in Bettendorf, IA.

This round robin wasn’t about taking home hardware. It was about execution, development, and competing the right way. 🥎💪
