Today in Borabu Constituency I took time to talk to the people of Kiabonyoru Ward about my agenda, vision and plan as the incoming member of parliament.

In Borabu constituency. Bursary cheques are sold. If a parent has a fee balance of 5,000 they sell to you a bursary cheque at a discounted rate of 2,000. This has been going on for four years. In 2023 the son of Naomi’s NGCDF chairman was arrested and taken to Matutu Police Station with the cheques but was released in unclear circumstances. The Borabu Council of elders has copies of those cheques in their file.

It was horrifying for me to watch a video on @X showing the CS for Finance, @JohnMbadiN, displaying Kshs. 10,000,000 in cash as “donations” from the MP for Suna East, @JunetMohamed, and a similar amount, also in cash, from @WilliamsRuto.

As they did that, most pupils in rural Kenya are forced to learn under trees or in dilapidated structures; tens of thousands of children die of malaria and other preventable diseases; most county health facilities have no medicines, physicians and medical equipment; about 80% of the youth are jobless; and tens of millions of Kenyans are living under subhuman conditions

As I have stated elsewhere before, anyone who carries tens of millions of shillings in cash and/or in other denominations cannot claim that the money isn’t part of an organized and sophisticated money laundering scheme. This is particularly the case when the people displaying such colossal amounts of cash in public either occupy or used to occupy public offices.

There are anti-money laundering laws which prohibit the withdrawal and use of more than Kshs 1,000,000 in cash at any one time. This is aside from the fact that public officials should be required to explain the sources of such vast sums of money by the @EACCKenya.

My considered view is that by displaying such huge sums of cash in public, Ruto, Mbadi and Junet were publicly engaged in money laundering, grand corruption and proved that in Kenya, the Mafia is the government!

A young unemployed Kenyan youth managed to join @WilliamsRuto on a podium in Kilifi. He hugged him and stood there smiling. He didn’t threaten Ruto or anyone else. He was unarmed. He probably wanted to tell Ruto something personal or of national importance. He may also have intended to seek help—something personal. But he wasn’t given a chance. He was roughed up, beaten and thrown to the ground as Ruto pretended to call out his bodyguards to “leave the young man alone.” But the young man wasn’t left alone. His ribs were broken, his teeth violently removed by vicious blows, by people who should be protecting him.

Since then, Ruto has either fired or transferred all his bodyguards for “failing to protect him.” The leader of the United Political Auctioneers and Impunity Merchants addressed a press conference yelling that “if the president is not safe, how can we be safe?” The legacy media has been screaming nonstop about the “failure of the president’s protection unit.”

Yet, there was no failure by the Kwe Kwe Squad. Ruto’s bodyguards most probably knew that the young man was unarmed and posed no threat to Ruto. If Kenya was a genuine constitutional democracy, Ruto would have taken photos with the young man and milked it as evidence of his “bond with the Kenyan youth.” But not in Kenya. Everything is upside down. Fake threats are conjured up and used to suffocate our freedoms while genuine insecurity to millions of Kenyans is ignored.

Kenyans are intoxicated with fake, conjured up and choreographed stories meant to cause societal amnesia, gullibility and zombification in order to perpetuate the culture of impunity,
