@lacecakess Doesn't change who you are or how wonderful you are to talk to. Just helps make sense of little things you may not have understood before. So what do you do? Love yourself.
@lacecakess Being fine on your own and with yourself is also crazy important. Don't settle! You owe it to yourself to be happy and loved. Find someone who looks at you the way my cat looks at laptops!
@lacecakess I was lucky to find a guy who is open with me (most of the time), communicates pretty well, listens well, cooks, is trustworthy, and is able to help me look at things from new perspectives.
I hope you find the same in a partner. You deserve it!
Friday would have been my due date with my little man, so this week is hitting me a little harder than most. I'm glad I decided to take some vacation time this week - it allows me to try to relax and cope.
This sucks.
@lacecakess My career also requires that I be a mini counselor of sorts sometimes, and when someone else's problems parallel my own, it can really be difficult to pull myself up rather than let myself slip - so I have a therapist of my own who works through things with me.
@lacecakess I like to do something that I enjoy, sometimes I write down my thoughts to differentiate between what the other person was feeling and what I am actually feeling. It's important to be there for them, but not overwhelm yourself with their emotions.
Just finished the story Monster Hunter Stories 2, and I really enjoyed playing it. People complaining about the plot really make no sense to me. Sure, it's predictable, but it's funny and sweet.
Making a 3 bean spicy chili and salads with baked chicken breast for lunches this week. It's going to be my first full week back at work since I lost my son, and damnit...I'm already exhausted.
@cgunter_71 Don't you dare get down on yourself!! You are doing an amazing job, and sticking to it can be SO challenging. I'm trying too, so we have to keep each other upbeat! You can are doing wonderfully!
