A powerful message of suicide prevention, mental health awareness, and care for students marked the start of the Fall semester at Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland. 📷 137 students participated in 7 activities and completed an exit survey.
Dozens more participated in at least one activity and connected with a local community resource. Nine different community partners joined the event hosted by AACC Counseling Services and AACC Health and Wellness Center.

IMALIVE Mental Health Fair, held at Stockton University's two campuses, was one of the factors cited in the university's application for the 2025 Excellence in Mental Health and Well-Being Award from Insight Into Academia magazine.
Stockton was one of 70 institutions recognized nationwide. The award is a measure of an institution’s individual programs and initiatives that significantly advance the core values of inclusive excellence and belonging. https://t.co/cb8XrfzKLL
Connection with others provides a safety net for life’s challenges. When students share experiences with others, whether they know each other or are meeting for the first time, it helps them process their emotions and feel understood. Here's some feedback from fair participants.
Transformation often happens when we least expect it. But within that struggle lies the potential for profound change. Trust the process, even when we can’t see the outcome.

Your mind is like a garden; you have the freedom to remove what no longer serves you and nurture new growth whenever you choose.

Growth is often messy, unpredictable, and even painful. The "wild winds of change" symbolize uncertainty and challenge, but they are also what pushes us to evolve. Embracing discomfort as part of the process can lead to deeper resilience.

We are more than our struggles, intrusive thoughts, or difficult moments. What truly defines us is how we endure, even in the face of overwhelming difficulty.
