Paul Conroy trained me to be safe before my first time at the front and kept me alive countless times together in Donbas. He is a complete hero and inspiration. The reason I became a frontline journalist. I am utterly devastated by this news.

The Trump/US admin deserve legitimate praise, alongside partners in the region, for the work they've done in trying to get peace in the Middle East.

Time for cautious optimism now, but if deals like the Good Friday Agreement can hold, then their is hope for a better future.

Looks like heavy praise is due for GMP firearms officers dealing with a truly horrific situation at a Manchester synagogue.

A man has killed two people on Yom Kippur - one of the holiest days in the Jewish faith.

The incident is expected to be declared as a terrorist attack.

Two further arrests have been made and three other people have been seriously injured and are now in hospital.

The Home Sec is quoted in @FT as saying PA's proscription didn't prevent protest against "the catastrophic humanitarian situation and crimes against humanity in Gaza”.

A N10 official said: “The home secretary was making reference to crimes against humanity in general in Gaza.”
