Players may press less, sprint less, recover more slowly and manage their energy differently". Leading to "earlier substitutions, hydration breaks, cooling towels, ice vests". Only 3 of 16 stadia air-conditioned (inc Dallas where England open).

For fans, @UNFCCC adds, “the danger can be greatest outside the stadium. Fan zones, queues, transport routes, car parks and outdoor celebrations can expose people to dangerous heat for hours”. #WorldCup2026

We host local @westfield_fc at 2pm, whilst the reserves welcome @addlestonefc for their 4pm friendly.

Be sure to arrive early for the opening of The Trevor Wenden Stand at 1:30pm. The Stand will be opened by the Woking Mayors office & @FulhamFC very own Head of football development Huw Jennings.

Entry all day is completely free. Our bar & clubroom will be open for food & drink as normal.
