Lawrence Barretto: Esteban, when you woke up this morning you were probably thinking it would be a bit challenging to get into the points. How satisfying, even given the circumstances, to get something on the table and you get a bit of luck for a change.

Esteban Ocon: For a change, yeah, we got everything right this time. think we took all the right calls regarding the strategy. It was just great. We managed to keep out of trouble as well with the last corner that was very tricky throughout the whole race. I really struggled. We had an issue with the steering wheel for the whole weekend and I did it for the guys because it was tough. It was super tough.

After 20 laps, I thought I could not finish that race and we pushed through and we got to the end. P9, so really well deserved to everyone. We deserved that one. I'm super happy.

Lawrence Barretto: Just kind of to build on the races up until this point, it has been really frustrating. For just a general, your own perspective and the team's perspective, to get a good result after all that's happened, it must mean a bit more, right?

Ocon: It shows that you should never give up. Even on a track where it's very difficult to overtake, you never know what's going to happen. Amazing to get the rewards, amazing to get that for the team after a difficult day. Really happy for them and I would like to congratulate also Isack, super happy for him to be on the podium. It's nice to see. #MonacoGP #HaasF1 #F1

esteban: there's no issue at all. ollie was being blocked by the cars in front of him & i was impeded by him. he let me go after he was told i was behind, just needed communication inside the team.
