Most teenagers are thoughtful, kind, caring, helpful and AMAZING!!! This is a great example of who we really are. Thank you Clarice for sharing. Last school year, the IMPACT Club consisted of 153 students from 30 different countries. We were united like a family!!!
HERE'S TO YOU: A driver ran out of gas on Dove Rd. @GrapevinePolice Officer Jonathan Velez saw teens pushing the car he blocked traffic & helped them push the car to a gas station The driver who sent me photos said it was beautiful to see teens of all races help the Officer
My wife and I have made the decision that while we will be returning to teaching our kids will do the virtual option. With my crohns disease compromising my immune system keep me in your prayers this school year. First year there will be no hugs or fist bumps for Coach Smith. 😢
Thank you for sharing these Student Demands. The IMPACT Club housed at Berkner High School had 153 members last school year, from 30 different countries and 5 religions. For the past 7 years, Systemic Racism has not been an issue in this club. We are organized, unified & happy.
For 7 years, the IMPACT Club housed at BHS, has proudly been a united force for diversity, inclusion and equality. We grew from 6 members to 153. Thirty different countries make up IMPACT. Our Diversity Consortium Initiative is powerful! @StateFarm @MASERGY @McDonalds@mcuban
IMPACT Club President Shees, stay in touch. You led this club through it’s 7th most powerful and successful school year, with the largest membership in it’s history — 153 members!!!!! Continue to be the BEST always!!!
Clarice, it’s Earnestine Cole, Volunteer Coordinator & Sponsor, for IMPACT Club at Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas. Since March 16, I’ve been outdoors 3 times. I’m in high risk category. The club was in Washington, D. C. March 13, when Government shut down. Trip ruined!
AWESOME 👏!!!!!CONGRATULATIONS to the BHS STEM Academy “Top 10 Graduates of the Class of 2020”, for your academic achievements. May your lives continue to be filled with greatness during and after college👌!!!!!
Mayor Eric Johnson is the best Mayor that Dallas can have to lead the residents through the Coronavirus Pandemic. His actions are having positive consequences.
Join in our BHS 5th Annual IMPACT Club Earth Day Awareness Initiative, today at 2:00 pm. Support students by listening to their views about this year’s Earth Day Theme (Climate Action) and help give them guidance on becoming better advocates for Planet Earth. @mjasso12 @jstone
Praying daily for your Mom Anne’s speedy recovery from Coronavirus and for your entire family to cope with her situation together. It’s a scary time. Hang in there to courageously support your Mom.
My Mom tested positive for Covid19 last night.
Her name is Anne, if anyone can send her some love, prayers, good thoughts.
I believe in the power of love 💞
We are on our way to some kind of “new normal”, but we must still be careful. As teenagers, we miss school & as seniors missed Prom, JROTC Military Ball, Graduation, & our Awards Banquet at III Forks. We have many stories to tell about how Coronavirus has affected our lives!
Abbott announced he is loosening restrictions on retail businesses, medical procedures and state parks. However, students will not return to class this school year. https://t.co/iA0cRHZta0
Thank you for the update, Mayor Johnson. It looks like we are in good shape to fight the Coronavirus Pandemic, despite the CNN news. We teenagers appreciate all the hard work you are doing to take care of Dallas/Dallas County.
Here are the bed and ventilator capacity statistics as reported by 24 hospitals in the @CityOfDallas (1 failed to report):

Total ICU beds: 783
ICU beds occupied: 480 (61%)
Total ventilators: 898

My 8-yr old: “I like watching church from home. We don’t have to get dressed. Maybe we can keep doing it after #coronavirus is over...” 🤔 Not sure that’s what @DallasCath intended... #StayatHome#wfaa
Gloria, we agree & as teenagers we are doing our part to follow the Federal & State Guidelines. We have interesting stories to tell about how Coronavirus has affected our lives. Online classes, can’t see friends, no Prom, no JROTC Military Ball, and no IMPACT Club Awards Banquet.
I understand why many people are losing patience & want to return to work & life as ‘normal.’ But that’s just not going to happen w/o some rules. I for one will still take as many precautions as I can (as usual) when I venture out. 😷
This is great news. Thank you Judge Jenkins for taking care of the vulnerable during the Coronavirus Pandemic. They need you now more than ever before!
Inked new deal with @HHSGov today to do 100 additional mobile test a day for nursing homes and other mobility challenged populations. @Parkland will lead this charge. Every day we scrap for a little more testing to #FlattenTheCurve and #OpenTexas
