I know you, my dear students and youth, have so many issues and you are not being heard. But don’t be hopeless, don’t feel helpless. Just gather the strength and stand for your rights. I will be there with you.

The recent resistance and struggle by the students in Delhi and Jharkhand for their genuine rights and the result of that collective and sustained struggle proves that no power can push you into darkness if you stand united against it with conviction.

Almighty says, “Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves." — (Qur'an 13:11)

Defeat the fear that was inflicted upon you last two times, stand with courage and you will find me there with you.

The reservation issue needs to be resolved in Jammu and Kashmir immediately.Merit should not be buried under reservation.

If Dharmendra Pradhan became the face of incompetence over paper leaks, then anyone walking the same path in J&K deserves the same scrutiny.
More than 1 & half year has passed since setting up of subcommittee. The reservation issue remains unresolved. The General category keeps shrinking, and whatever little share it has, is being robbed through leaks in the form of multi-crore Lecturer & SSB scams. The youth of J&K have been pushed to the wall while those in power perfect the art of media management & evasion ,instead of true governance.

It is Enough. Accountability can no longer be optional. Tonight's Space isn't just another discussion. It's where we chart the roadmap to make accountability unavoidable in J&K.

TO THE OPEN MERIT STUDENTS IN J&K:

Today as the students in the entire country rejoice, and rightly so, I want to ask a question to our students in J&K:

Why were they taken for granted on the much graver and unjust issue of the New Reservation Policy?

Our politicians could go to Jantar Mantar but what did they deliver when it came to the issue of reservations in J&K?

Did they create sustained pressure on the Government? Did they devote themselves to this serious issue with seriousness of purpose?

Why did we fail to get justice on our issue?

Something to ponder upon.

Before you rush to criticise @Wangchuk66, first pause to earn the ethos of fasting for 26 days for a cause larger than yourself.
He lies in the ICU today, having lost 11 kg, including muscle mass, because he chose sacrifice over comfort. The least we can offer him is a day of compassion before burdening him with our own expectations and political calculations.
Not everyone is qualified to judge a life of selfless service. One must first earn the moral stature to do so.
