I developed the yips sophomore year of HS after hitting a teammate w/ a ball in warm-ups. I never recovered and it led me to stop playing a game that brought me so much joy. I still struggle to throw a baseball, but this thread gave me so much hope.

@joshgessner @FlatgroundApp Thank you for this. I developed the yips in high school after hitting a teammate in the head during warm-ups. It eventually led me to quit playing baseball junior year. I still can’t throw a baseball without seizing up. It’s been a struggle but I’m still working to overcome it.
