“We should stop beating around the bush. Ikwerre is Igbo. You can’t be answering an Igbo name and claim to be Benin. Our forefathers, no one answered a Benin name.”
— Former Niger Delta militant, General Asabuja
Hey @grok was the sackler family instrumental to the opioid epidemic in the USA? What ethnicity are they? Start with yes or no, then in the next sentence provide the ethnicity.
Igbo feminist wants to eat gizzard ahead of their dad, they want to inherit ancestral lands, break kolanut and participate in masquerades but none of them is disturbed Abt joining men in digging graves, paying levy to develop their community. Overfed & ungrateful beeches.
Once you visit random cities in China and come back to Indian streets, you realize how much you’ve been scammed by your local MLAs, MPs, IAS and the whole system.
“Crude oil is in the South, yet refineries are built in the North. Cattle are in the North, yet ranches are pushed South. Terrorists operate in the North, yet the South is militarized. Importers are in the East, yet seaports are developed in the West while Eastern ports remain neglected.”
The Fulani Man Who Defeated His Own Party To Rule Enugu Again
Malam Umaru Altine was a Fulani man from Sokoto Province. He was not from Enugu but he made history there.
He came to Enugu as a cattle dealer and settled at Coal Camp where the coal miners lived. There he married an Igbo lady named Esther, and that made him even closer to the people.
He entered politics through the Zikist Movement where he served as Secretary General and later became Vice Chairman of the NCNC Youth Association in Enugu. He was a loyal member of Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe's NCNC party.
Because he was loved by the ordinary people at Coal Camp, the NCNC nominated him to contest for Mayor. He won the election in 1952 and became the first elected Mayor of Enugu Municipal Council. He served from 1952 to 1956.
When his first term ended, some leaders in the NCNC decided they wanted an Igbo man as Mayor.
They asked Altine to step down and they brought out a new candidate named D.T. Inyang to replace him.
Altine refused to step down.
He resigned from the NCNC and contested as an Independent candidate. To the surprise of many, he defeated the NCNC candidate and won his second term.
He was re-elected as Mayor and served from 1956 to 1958.
He was known for wearing his babban riga and turban to office, sometimes a suit, and for going to church and football fields whenever his duty as Mayor required it. He grew up in the palace of Sultan Siddiq Abubakar of Sokoto who reigned for 50 years.
He is remembered today as proof that Nigeria once practiced politics without tribe.
"After so many years in Europe, suffering just to make money, I came back to my state and bought a piece of land for #65 million from the brother of an APC deputy governor aspirant in Edo State.
Now, he wants to sell the land to another person for N120 million, and he's telling me that I can do anything to him.”

"I want our wealth to stay with us. The profits should benefit our people."

When Bitcoin came out and people in developed countries were using it to buy pizza and everyday things, most of us barely knew it existed. By the time we caught up it had already made people millionaires and the price skyrocketed
Makes me wonder how many things like that already exist today that we won’t discover until they’re beyond our reach
America left Afghanistan, Taliban took over and went back into Stone Age.
They legalised a form of Islamic slavery and turned women into cattles and properties.
America left Iraq and ISIS was birthed.
When you destroy any great power, the vacuum left might consume everything and everyone.
The fall of the Songhai empire was what led to the bloody and brutal Sokoto caliphate that was the biggest plantation slave trading empire in African history.
The fall of the Oyo empire ignited the countless civil wars across West Africa along the coast.
A great power like America falls and Africa will be totally cannibalized.
This is not because America is benevolent to Africa but this is how powers and vacuum works.
If you do not have black superpower in Africa to fill the shoes of America do not wish for the fall of America or else you will end up in bigger chains.
