Lady Gaga and fiancé Michael Polansky announce a new AI-powered biotech venture that uses living human skin tissue to help discover better skincare ingredients.
The company, Outer Biosciences, says it can keep donated human skin alive in the lab for weeks, allowing researchers to safely test thousands of compounds on real human tissue instead of relying on animal testing or computer simulations. The results are then used to train AI models to predict which ingredients are most likely to be safe and effective before they reach human trials.
TechCrunch reports that the startup has been operating quietly for several years and says this approach could significantly speed up the discovery of new treatments and skincare ingredients.

Fun fact: While this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with Lady Gaga, she sang “Shape Of A Woman” live on the set of The Devil Wears Prada 2 instead of lip-syncing to a prerecorded track, as is typically done in movies.
I still believe LG 8 later out this year.
- she’s been writing since the tour started
- she’s been silent
- she’s healthy mentally & understands that music is what her fans want
- she’s not going through a psychotic break
- she has an amazing support team to help her
