@ArabellaBlairXo Yes, Santa Fe is sublime. This is the Inn at the Loretto I believe. And it’s not even the best or the cutest hotel there. Santa Fe is unique in the world. As is Taos, in a different way
@ArabellaBlairXo Completely agree. Fairmont Boston is such a disappointment. Fairmonts in the US are hit and miss. They took over older hotels when they expanded fast and never invested. The one in Dallas is a dump. 1970s Holiday Inn style.
@flywithleigh @highdefgf Canada and many European and UK airports have electronic passport readers. They check your passport against your face essentially. This is not the same as Global Entry. @MsLouisaKnight has a good thread on this.
@flywithleigh Can you hint at what happened? As a US citizen they cannot deny you entry. I noticed that the Global Entry machines are very buggy lately and often unable to take pictures. It could just be that the match to your records didn’t work.
@PureLilyLondon Thank you for saying that! We are not alone. I didn’t like it at all. I suppose without all the cultural baggage it would be an ok musical. But it has become an article of faith.
@PureLilyLondon@notkingdeficit The band’s name is Mazzy Star. Her name is Hope Sandoval. She also performs as a solo artist. I can’t get the song and this performance out of my head either

@ChelseaHarperx This 💯 My biggest peeve in hotels, even 5-stars. Connecting rooms are great for families but why do they put single travelers in those? Hilton allows you to choose non-connecting rooms when booking
@PureLilyLondon They are ok. A bit hit and miss. Service can be bad or served with an attitude. I find their business class product sub-par though. The US carriers are actually better in that respect.
