The world has entered a volatile phase. Stormy seas lie ahead.

India’s oil supplies are under threat, with more than 40% of our imports transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The situation is even worse for LPG and LNG.

The conflict has reached our backyard, with an Iranian warship sunk in the Indian Ocean. Yet the Prime Minister has said nothing.

At a moment like this, we need a steady hand at the wheel.

Instead, India has a compromised PM who has surrendered our strategic autonomy.

Escalating hostilities between the United States, Israel and Iran are pushing a fragile region toward wider conflict. Crores of people, including nearly a crore Indians, face uncertainty.

While security concerns are real, attacks that violate sovereignty will only worsen the crisis. The unilateral attacks on Iran, as well as Iran’s attacks on other Middle Eastern nations, must be condemned. Violence begets violence - dialogue and restraint remain the only path to peace.

India must be morally clear. We should have the courage to speak plainly in defence of international law and human lives. Our foreign policy is rooted in sovereignty and the peaceful resolution of disputes - and it must remain consistent.

PM Modi must speak up. Does he support the assassination of a head of state as a way to define the world order? Silence now diminishes India’s standing in the world.

▪️जब प्रधानमंत्री मोदी इज़राइल की संसद में थे, तब वहाँ के पूरे विपक्ष ने सदन से वॉकआउट कर दिया

▪️दरअसल, यह विरोध इज़राइल के प्रधानमंत्री बेंजामिन नेतन्याहू के खिलाफ था, क्योंकि उन्होंने न्यायपालिका के साथ चल रहे विवाद के बीच सुप्रीम कोर्ट के अध्यक्ष को आमंत्रित नहीं किया था

▪️लेकिन कमाल की बात यह है कि इज़राइल की विपक्ष ने यह कदम एक दूसरे देश के प्रधानमंत्री की यात्रा के दौरान उठाया

▪️पर अब तक हमें इज़राइली सरकार से ‘इज़राइल की छवि को ठेस’ पहुँचाने जैसी दलील सुनने को नहीं मिली है

▪️ना ही उनके टीवी एंकर इज़राइल की विपक्ष को देशद्रोही या राष्ट्र-विरोधी बुला रहे हैं

▪️अब एक सेकंड के लिए रुकिए और कल्पना कीजिए - अगर ऐसा भारत में होता तो क्या टिप्पणियाँ और प्रतिक्रियाएँ होतीं

▪️अब तक पूरी विपक्ष को देशद्रोही घोषित कर दिया गया होता. स्टूडियो में बैठे एंकर ‘देश की छवि खराब’ होने की दलील देकर चीखते

👉👉असहमति और मतभेद लोकतंत्र के लिए बेहद ज़रूरी हैं. यह किसी के आपके देश में आने या ना आने पर निर्भर नहीं करता है

👉👉विरोध ऐसी जगहों पर होते हैं जहाँ उन्हें नोटिस किया जाये, उनकी चर्चा हो, जिन मुद्दों को वह उठा रहें हैं उसपर धयान जाये. जैसे अब बहुत लोग इज़राइल में सरकार और न्यायपालिका के बीच क्या चल रहा है, इस बारे में जान गए हैं

👉👉काश मोदी, उनके चमचे और उनकी गोदी मीडिया में इतनी परिपक्वता होती कि वे इसे समझ पाते - बजाय हर बार विपक्ष के किसी भी मुद्दे को उठाने पर खुद की महामूर्खता साबित करें

मुझे उम्मीद है कि ऐसा हो - लेकिन मुझे अच्छी तरह से पता है यह होना संभव ही नहीं है
