Warm birthday wishes to our President, @SavioDsilvaa !
Your guidance and dedication continue to strengthen South Goa Congress. We wish you good health, continued success, and many more years of impactful leadership in service of the people.
South Goa MP @ViriatoFern raised the Mirabag Bandhara issue in Parliament under Rule 377, urging the Centre to scrap the Zuari River project, warning it may submerge 500+ houses and temples, and alleging no proper study or consultation with affected villagers.
Birthday greetings to @INCGoa President @amitspatkar.
Your dedication to the party and commitment to the people of Goa inspire Congress workers to stay united and work harder for justice and progress. Wishing you good health, strength and continued success in the year ahead.
Democracy works best when every voice is counted.
Volunteers from the Velim Congress Block visited different areas to assist citizens with voter list verification and ensure no voter is left behind.
Leadership begins with listening. South Goa MP
@ViriatoFern , @INCSGoa president @SavioDsilvaa & Archit Shantaram Naik visited Mirabag to hear residents’ grievances & assess the situation along the Zuari river. People’s voices must guide governance, not distant power corridors.
The UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi Ji along with the then PM late Dr. Manmohan Singh had assured that Dabolim airport will always remain operational for commercial and civil aviation operations. Alas, the present BJP sarkar is hell bent in closing the Dabolim airport for commercial flights so as to benefit his favourite private player at MOPA. Betrayal continues unabated.
I blame Goa BJP Government’s fiscal mismanagement for Goa getting zero Union Budget funds. Misuse of public money is acknowledged by the Government itself. Event politics, wasteful spending, & foreign junkets have destroyed credibility. Goans are paying the price - @ViriatoFern
South Goa MP @ViriatoFern strongly criticised Margao Municipal Council for denying waste collection staff their rightful dues during Christmas season. Those risking their health daily to keep Margao clean deserve respect, not injustice. He assured firm action to secure justice.
May this festive season bring peace, good health, and lasting happiness to every home.
May love and unity bring us together towards a brighter and more compassionate future.
The Congress family wishes everyone a Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🏻⛄
South Goa District President @SavioDsilvaa, OBC Minority Chairman (GPCC) and Cortalim Block President Peter D’Souza visited the District Collector to address the difficulties faced by citizens due to the ongoing flyover construction at Dabolim and requested timely action..

Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary was respectfully celebrated at the South Goa District Congress office, honouring her legacy of strength, leadership and unwavering commitment to the nation.
The Indira Gandhi Prize for Peace, Disarmament & Development was established to commemorate one of India's greatest 20th-century leaders, Mrs. Indira Gandhi, and her remarkable contribution to national and global well-being.
It seeks to recognise and promote what she stood and worked for—a world free of prejudice, where men and women of all lands can live in peace, cherishing our common humanity and universal heritage. Hence, this prize for peace, disarmament & development.
I cannot think of a time when the purposes for which the prize was established were more relevant. We are in a world today which is adrift, where uncertainty, conflict and human displacement are at levels that we have not seen since World War II.
Sadly, there is no sign of a cogent or effective international response to this situation. If ever we needed the work and values that the prize recognises, it is now. And that is why we are gathered here today, because Mrs. Michelle Bachelet is the awardee of the Indira Gandhi Prize for 2024. There could not be a more fitting awardee.
