Dear ICA Member,
It is with sincere regret that the upcoming ICA Convention and Trade Show has been postponed until next year. It is with your health and safety that the ICA Board has made this decision.
Dear ICA Member,
The ICA will be available every day this weekend to answer any questions that you may have. Our number is 260-402-8555. Please call for any reason.
Dear ICA Member,
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the ICA, let us extend to you the very best in preparing your cemetery for the days leading up to Monday, which is perhaps the most important period of time for visitation at your cemetery.
The date for our Fall Conference will be Thursday September 23, 2021 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. More details to follow in the coming weeks!
Dear ICA Member,
We are pleased to let you know that Chairman Denny Zent of the Local Government Committee moved to "hold" Senate Bill 357 at the hearing that took place at 8:30 this morning.. This effectively means that the bill will not move forward this legislative session.
The ICA legislative Committee and the Board of Directors is requesting your help again. Please reach out to your Indiana House member and strongly encourage that they vote NO on Senate Bill 357.
At yesterday's hearing, Chairman Buck delayed the vote on Senate Bill 357 until next week. If you have not reached out to your area State Senator, please do so today!
Protecting our right to do the necessary work in our cemeteries is vital!!
SB 357 ALERT: I am asking you to use the talking points in my letter and contact your area Senators and do the same. We are expecting a vote on this matter on Thursday so we need your help quickly.

Thank you,

The ICA advises that you provide any NECESSARY employee traveling to work under this order have a written document (on your letterhead) giving that employee permission to travel to work. I would specifically mention the enclosed portion of the Executive Order.
Our legal counsel has provided us with the Governor's Executive Order. Item #14, paragraph (x) defines Essential Businesses and Operations as "Funeral Services: funeral, mortuary, cremation, burial, cemetery, and related services." as those that are exempt from the order.
Please join us for a discussion titled “Recent Indiana litigation determines a reasonable outcome when the interment right is sold twice" teleconference on Wednesday, November 13th at 10:00 AM Eastern. The call in number is 712-770-4598 and the access code is 165872#. @iccfa
