केंद्र सरकार ने LPG उपभोक्ताओं को सब्सिडी की पात्रता को लेकर SMS अलर्ट भेजने शुरू कर दिए हैं. अब टैक्स रिकॉर्ड के माध्यम से तेजी से गैस सब्सिडी की जांच की जा रही है. सरकार ने यह कदम ईरान वॉर की वजह से होर्मुज संकट के बीच लिया है. जिन लोगों की आय कम है, अब सिर्फ उन्हें ही सिलेंडर पर सब्सिडी मिलेगी. केंद्र सरकार द्वारा भेजा जा रहे मैसेज का मुख्य उद्देश्य फर्जी लोगों को सब्सिडी का फायदा लेने से पूरी तरह से रोकना है और केवल जरूरतमंद लोगों तक सिलेंडर पहुंचाना है.

आम आदमी पार्टी (AAP) छोड़कर बीजेपी में शामिल हुए राज्यसभा सांसद संदीप पाठक के खिलाफ पंजाब में दो एफआईआर दर्ज की गई हैं. इसके चलते पंजाब पुलिस उन्हें गिरफ्तार कर सकती है. सूत्रों के अनुसार संदीप पाठक के खिलाफ गैर-जमानती धाराओं के तहत दो प्राथमिकी दर्ज की गई हैं. हालांकि इन प्राथमिकियों के बारे में अभी कोई और जानकारी सामने नहीं आई है.
