THE OWNER OF THIS BABA ART WORK that has been used widely with his watermark removed and says this👇🏾
“Good morning. I have received so many concerns about the widespread use of my artwork for commercial purposes by so many businesses and thank you so much, and it is disheartening, but it is the reality of creatives especially for art like this where someone can easily crop out watermarks or not acknowledge etc, but my main aim of doing this work was as a personal tribute to a global icon who is larger than life, who most of us couldnt even fathom a day of his demise, who has shaped our political landscape and given us a soft landing in this democracy. This was not meant for commercial purposes, and even the few tshirts I made was due to serious public demand on my social accounts.
You can support my work by keeping the watermark on when you share the image or acknowledge the artist, or if you are generous, you can do it through MPESA, my phone number is 0711765824.🥹
May Baba rest.
May God bless you all.
🙏🏾🙏🏾”
Raila Odinga was a true champion of democracy. A child of independence, he endured decades of struggle and sacrifice for the broader cause of freedom and self-governance in Kenya. Time and again, I personally saw him put the interests of his country ahead of his own ambitions. Like few other leaders anywhere, he was willing to choose the path of peaceful reconciliation without compromising his core values. Through his life, Raila Odinga set an example not just for Kenyans, but across Africa and around the world. I know he will be missed. Michelle and I send our deepest condolences to his family and to the people of Kenya.
Today, we call on YOU to:
