@rheeveries Since Dead City set many years after TOWL, I’m curious about Rick reaction after returning home to find out Negan is gone and that the whole community is pretty chill with the dude, including his daughter.
@banagherlinks97@DiscussingFish_ I can only go off the trailers and leaked script, and I’ll say for myself it doesn’t capture any of my experience. The film is going to be good, I have no doubt, but a poor adaptation; nothing in the film screams it’s a Resident Evil film. Besides some cheap Easter eggs.
@banagherlinks97@DiscussingFish_ Just don’t bother calling Resident Evil if you don’t plan on adapting anything from the source material. Zack has an original idea for a survival horror zombie film, fine. Just don’t call it Resident Evil if you want to make your own original film.
@Rafafandil I agree. I’m more so hung up on the title. I would have no problem if he called it something else. He could have told fans later that he was heavily inspired by the survival horror of Resident Evil but wanted to do his own thing.
@thanosbubbles@DiscussingFish_ Hard to be excited for a film titled Resident Evil without an ounce of Resident Evil in it. Doesn’t look like a bad film, it’s just a poor adaptation.
@Rem_inisce@SinnamonR0llz I totally forgot the most faithful Resident Evil film, the film with brown Leon. And a romance between Jill Valentine and Wesker. It didn’t help that the director also was trying to shove in two games in one movie with an extremely low budget.
@redsonsupes@LegatoSkyheart Zack should simply remove the title from the film. It doesn’t look bad; it’s just not Resident Evil, especially considering the leaked script.
