It's incredible to hear some people, even Trump critics, who don't understand that a second Trump term would be nothing like the first. "We survived 4 years of Trump in the WH. We'll survive 4 more years.", they say.

They totally ignore the fact that unlike 2016, Trump is likely to be a convicted felon on election day, and he has made it very clear that if he gets elected again, he’s going to spend his time and use the government to retaliate against his domestic enemies in government, media, and beyond.

In a second Trump administration, we won't see anyone like Jim Mattis, John Kelly or Bill Barr. Trump will hire only die-hard MAGA loyalists. People like Steve Bannon, Kari Lake, and Steve Miller will run the show.
Axios (link in first reply) revealed today the exact questionnaires Trump allies are planning to use for appointees and employees in case he wins back the White House.
Here's one example: "What part of Candidate Trump's campaign message most appealed to you and why?"

Another question: "Briefly describe your political evolution. What thinkers, authors, books, or political leaders influenced you and led you to your current beliefs? What political commentator, thinker or politician best reflects your views?"

As Liz Cheney said: "People who say, if he’s elected is not that dangerous because we have all these checks & balances don't fully understand the extent to which Republicans in Congress have been coopted. One of the things that we see...is a sort of a sleepwalking into dictatorship in the United States."
Anyone who doesn't subscribe to the MAGA ideology, anyone who doesn't believe Donald Trump is "The greatest president in American history" will never get hired.

“I’ve spent a lot of time studying bad men.  I’ve examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty.

Yet there’s something different about Donald Trump. When I look at him, I don’t see a bad man. Truly.

I see an evil one.

Over the years, I’ve met gangsters here and there. This guy tries to be one, but he can’t quite pull it off. There’s such a thing as “honor among thieves.” Yes, even criminals usually have a sense of right and wrong. 

Whether they do the right thing or not is a different story — but — they have a moral code, however warped.

Donald Trump does not. He’s a wannabe tough guy with no morals or ethics. No sense of right or wrong. No regard for anyone but himself — not the people he was supposed to lead and protect, not the people he does business with, not the people who follow him, blindly and loyally, not even the people who consider themselves his “friends.” He has contempt for all of them.

We New Yorkers got to know him over the years that he poisoned the atmosphere and littered our city with monuments to his ego.  We knew first hand that this was someone who should never be considered for leadership.  We tried to warn the world in 2016.

The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination.  Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world.

We lived with Donald Trump’s bombastic behavior every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up in body bags.

The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior.  That was the consequence of New York’s warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse.

Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we can’t let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously.

So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke — right here in the beating heart of New York — to the rest of America:
This is our last chance.

Democracy won’t survive the return of a wannabe dictator.

And it won’t overcome evil if we are divided.

So what do we do about it?  I know I’m preaching to the choir here.  What we’re doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow – take it outside these walls.   We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House. 

They’re not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice.  Our future doesn’t just depend on us. It depends on them.

Let’s reach out to Trump’s followers with respect.  Let’s not talk about “democracy.”  “Democracy” may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, they’ve already turned their backs on it. 

Let’s talk about right and wrong.  Let’s talk about humanity. 

Let’s talk about kindness.  Security for our world. 

Safety for our families. 

Decency. 

Let’s welcome them back. 

We won’t get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this “Stop Trump Summit.”

Following a surge in anti-Semitic sentiment in the Dagestan region of Russia, the daily housing rental company “Kak Doma 05” was accused of providing services to clients from Israel. The co-owner of the company, 33-year-old Leila, has recorded a video in which she stated that she would personally evict Jews if they appeared in one of her 47 apartments.

She stated: “We do not provide accommodation to Jews. I have 47 real estate properties in the city, and I have carefully monitored all of them, and now I will monitor them even more carefully. And even if they fool us, I look at the cameras and figure it out, then I will definitely evict him, believe me.”

She later explained that in this way she wanted to “calm down her people”.

This is Eli, a soldier in the Golani Infantry brigade. When Hamas terrorists infiltrated the Kissufim base on 10/7, he first ran to make sure the non-combat female soldiers were safe in a shelter.

Then, he ran to the armory, grabbed two MAGs, and along with another soldier fought 50 terrorists for 20 minutes - till he was killed.

During the time he fought the terrorists, additional IDF forces time to group and prepare for battle. Who knows how many lives he saved.

Not long after midnight on October 7, 47-year-old Bedouin bus driver Yussuf al-Ziadana dropped off a customer at the Supernova music festival.

A few hours later, at dawn, Yussuf received a frantic call from that same passenger, begging Yussuf to return and get him out of the hell that was unfolding.

Most people would think twice. Many would stay far away. Not Yussuf. He drove straight back into the line of fire, crammed thirty people on board his bus, and saved their lives.

Yussuf met today with Israel's President, Isaac Herzog. He told the President how his family are agricultural workers with strong ties to the many Kibbutzim in the Negev.

Herzog said, "I was excited to meet in Rahat an Israeli hero, Yussuf Al-Ziadana, who with unusual courage and determination saved the lives of least thirty young people that black Saturday from the festival in Re'im, including those who were wounded."

Yussuf said, "I am an Israeli citizen and I knew that I had to go and save them".
