Roy Williams of Linton (b. 1905) was an All-State center on the undefeated 1925 Linton-Stockton team, later coaching from 1940–1951 (60–49–7, 5 titles) & serving as AD for nearly two decades.
Inducted into the HOF in 1976, he’s honored with a field bearing his name.
From standout player to legendary coach at Valparaiso, Coach Hoffman built a legacy of leadership, excellence, and dedication that impacted generations of Indiana athletes. #IFCA
John V. Magnabosco left a lasting mark on Indiana football as an All-American player, championship coach, and leader at Ball State. His legacy lives on through the John V. Magnabosco Award and his 1975 induction into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame. 🏈
Ted Topor’s football legacy was built on championships, leadership, and excellence. From State Titles at E.C. Roosevelt to a Rose Bowl Championship at Michigan, Army team captaincy, the Detroit Lions, and coaching success, his impact on the game was lasting. Inducted in 2003.
Randy Schneider (Mishawaka, IN) starred at Penn HS and Indiana University, played for the Los Angeles Rams, and was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 2012.
Kirk Sorg was a South Adams standout, longtime head coach, and IFCA leader.
He led South Adams for over 20 years, building championship teams and a 33-game winning streak.
His legacy is leadership, player development, and lasting impact on Indiana football.
Coach Nick Mourouzis, DePauw’s winningest coach and founder of Chi Alpha Sigma, was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame (7/17/04). His legacy lives on beyond his passing on Sept. 16, 2020.

Elmer Britton was a respected Indiana high school football coach who built a 244–162–2 career across multiple programs. He led Lake Central to multiple titles and helped shape generations of athletes. Inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
Jerry Brewer, Indiana’s winningest high school football coach (368–105–2), led Jasper to a state title, multiple championships, and 9 undefeated seasons. A true leader in the sport, he was inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1992.
Don Miller was a Notre Dame legend and All-American, part of the famed “Four Horsemen” and a 1925 Rose Bowl champion. He later coached at Georgia Tech and Ohio State and served 11 years as a U.S. District Attorney. Inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1975.
Billy Hillenbrand was an Indiana football legend—3-time All-State at Evansville Reitz Memorial, a star at Indiana University (Big Ten Player of the Year, All-American), & pro standout who led his team in scoring for multiple seasons. Inducted into the Indiana Football HOF in 1975
Robert I. Jones left a legacy of excellence as a standout athlete, championship coach (123 wins, 3 undefeated seasons), and U.S. Air Force Reserve colonel. Inducted into the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in 1973, his impact on Indiana athletics still endures.
