this is my 3rd 3rd attempt at keeping up a Pro-Ukraine account on Xshiitter, where Ruzzki bots have a free pass on anything, but anything pro 🇺🇦 can be banned in a second. my 2 old Twitter accounts ( both 2012) were suspended in less than 9 months!
🔥🕊️I've spent the whole day following the news about the drone attacks Ukraine launched deep into Russian territory.
And one thought keeps surfacing: It’s impossible not to notice the parallels with Ukraine’s own history. I keep thinking of Princess Olga.
More than a thousand years ago, she was faced with the murder of her husband by the Drevlians. Instead of submitting, she plotted revenge. She asked them for a simple tribute: birds. She tied burning materials to their legs and sent them back to their homes. The birds did what birds do—they flew back. And the cities burned.
Today, it’s not birds but drones. Today, it’s not ancient revenge but modern defense. And yet… the echoes are impossible to ignore.
FPV drones flown from within Russia, hidden in trucks, flying straight into military airfields. Strategic bombers destroyed. Entire operations paralyzed. It feels like fire sent back to the enemy’s doorstep again.
Olga sent a message. That message still lives in Ukrainian history: Small things, when guided by clever hands and righteous anger, can burn giants to the ground.
Russian popular war blogger about the counterattack on Ukraine:
"You can fight without nuclear weapons.
Shoot half a thousand prisoners. For show. On camera. And explain that this will continue."
Russia is a barbaric terrorist state. Nothing else.
On a more serious note, this operation saved countless lives of innocent Ukrainians. For three years those strategic bombers have been used to destroy our maternity hospitals, kindergartners, schools, residential buildings.
Thousands were killed for the sake of Russian campaign of terror. But today we crippled their ability to murder civilians, so it’s a happy day.
We understand that tomorrow they try to hit even more civilian targets, to push their genocidal effort even harder. Thus, we must put more pressure on Russia, impose more sanctions, hit their economy as hard as we can.
They are weak, but European indecisiveness makes them extremely dangerous.
In Slovyansk, a bomb hit private homes on the night of May 31.
Two people were injured, more than 30 houses and three cars were damaged. These are the consequences of the shelling of Slovyansk in the Donetsk region on the night of May 31, reported Vadym Lyakh, the head of the city administration, on Facebook. A film crew from Suspilne Donbas visited the scene.

We’ve raised $1,400 so far — thank you!
Next week I’m heading to the front to deliver more gear.
Today, we’re sending a big batch of supplies donated by partners — not from our fundraiser.
But we urgently need support for FPV drones.
Glory to Ukraine!
Together to victory! 🇺🇦

The russian Defense Ministry called drone attacks on military airfields and facilities in russia an act of terrorism.
Do not confuse: the invasion of a foreign country, the deaths of thousands of people, bombings and missile strikes with thousands of missiles and tens of thousands of drones on peaceful cities and civilians, on residential buildings, hospitals, schools, maternity hospitals, kindergartens, energy, as well as thousands of other war crimes committed by russia is not terrorism.
Terrorism is the destruction by Ukraine of those very planes that committed all this.
STATEMENT ON PRAISE FOR UKRAINIANS BOMBINGS ON RUSSIAN MILITARY PLANE AND NATO THREAT BY RUSSIA
In these turbulent times, standing with Ukraine and supporting NATO is not just a matter of strategy. It is a moral responsibility. Ukraine's fight is not only for its own survival but for the defense of freedom and democracy across the globe. NATO’s unity serves as a shield against unchecked aggression, reminding the world that we will not stand idly by in the face of tyranny.
The recent attacks on Russian strategic bombers and growing warnings from NATO leaders show that this war is intensifying. The threat of a wider global conflict is real, and we cannot ignore the ambitions of those who seek to resurrect the shadow of the old Soviet Union. This is not just about territory. It is about an evil ideology that wants to rewrite history and reclaim power through destruction and fear.
America must continue to stand against that evil. We must remain committed to our allies, firm in our values, and clear in our purpose. At the same time, we offer up prayers that this war ends soon. The world cannot afford another global war. We pray for peace, we pray for wisdom in our leaders, and we pray for strength in the face of rising darkness.
Let our actions reflect our prayers. Support freedom. Stand with Ukraine. And above all, never stop seeking peace.

In Komyshany, Kherson region, a drone struck a civilian vehicle. Two children – aged 11 and 16 – were injured. They suffered head trauma, concussions, and shrapnel wounds. In less than a year, drone attacks have claimed nearly 150 lives in the Kherson region. These systematic “hunts” targeting civilians bear the hallmarks of #InternationalCrimes

Crimean political prisoners Tymur Yalkabov and Ruslan Suleymanov have been transferred to a Russian penal colony in Murmansk region – more than 3,500 km from occupied Crimea, according to Crimean Solidarity. These actions violate #HumanRights, as they appear intended to isolate, break, and sever them from Crimea and their families.
Two more Ukrainian teenagers have escaped occupation thanks to the President of Ukraine’s initiative Bring Kids Back UA and the efforts of the Ukrainian Child Rights Network.
🔹 Karina is 18. She spent nearly all her childhood under Russian occupation. Karina knew from a young age that she wanted to live in Ukraine. She counted the days until her 18th birthday — the moment she could leave on her own. Karina couldn’t imagine a future surrounded by propaganda and constant fear. Today, she is starting a new life in Ukraine. She plans to find a job and apply to university.
🔹 Kyrylo is 21. His village came under occupation at the start of the full-scale invasion, just as he turned 18. Communication was cut off, checkpoints appeared, and people started to disappear. One day, his mother left for Crimea, and Kyrylo was left alone. Leaving was dangerous — phones were searched, and travelers were asked provocative questions. With the help of our partners, Kyrylo was able to prepare, gather his documents, and find a safe route out.
Today, Kyrylo is back in Ukraine with his family, who had been waiting for him.
The Ukrainian Child Rights Network, in partnership with SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit Hermann-Gmeiner-Fonds Deutschland e.V., is implementing the project “The Way Home: A New Route” to return and support deported children and youth.

Fellas, hi! I want to ask for help for my friend Olya @plishakova_ ✨She’s raising funds for her husband’s unit to buy an AVENGER Booster 2.4G/5.2G/5.8G external antenna.
This antenna significantly increases the drone’s control range, stabilizes signal reception, supports Wi-Fi and OcuSync, and shows impressive performance in field tests. For example, the DJI Mavic 3 with the connected AVENGER Booster flew over 20 km without any EW interference — all without losing control or video signal.
They still need to raise $352!
My PP: [email protected]
I’ll leave my PayPal for donations and will transfer the funds to Olya in the evening.
This big dog has been hit by a car in the village for 10 days. The other day we went to the village and couldn't find the dog. Today, the poor dog was found in this condition on the porch of the building.
Read this story so you can understand what Russia is doing 11 years in the occupied Donbas.
The misery, lawlessness and depravity it has brought.
They surely do not bring "protection, prosperity and civilization" to the russian speaking Ukrainians.
🆘 🆘 🆘 Good evening. Please help close the fundraising for a drone, walkie-talkie, and body armor, for which we have $1,792 out of $2,970 for the Donetsk direction.

Germany is among the global leaders in supporting Ukraine and the rules-based international order. These rules must be preserved so that normal life for people can be preserved as well. That is exactly what we discussed today: our shared diplomacy, our common security, and our joint projects with Germany.
@Bundeskanzler, thank you for today’s talks – it is crucial that we are working together to bring peace closer and provide greater security for our people. And it is equally important that we strive to be as effective as possible in these efforts.

The faint-hearted should not read this. But please, do. And share it.
Three years ago, I translated the story of Christina Jolos — a Mariupol resident who fled while the city was surrounded by russian forces. Her words still haunt me.
