Had a great tournament this weekend! I had 2 singles, 4 doubles, and another bomb💣! I was super excited to get back on the mound after recovery from my shoulder injury. I pitched 8.2 innings with 10 strikeouts, 1 walk, and a .000 ERA.

JV is now 2-0 after beating Danville 8-0 in 7 innings last night! Malikia pitched a complete game throwing a 1 hitter with 5 k’s and great defense behind her! Offense was on fire with 8 hits led by Olivia Crum going 2-4 with 1 RBI! Great job ladies!

1. STANDARDS

Standards Matter.

- They set the Bar.
- They set the Tone.

Standards are clear and known by all in championship programs.

"The expectations are what they are here, and we don't run around talking about them."

2. MEDIOCRITY

One of his all-time classic quotes.

High achievers separate themselves.

You are who you hang with.

Hang with the best.

"Mediocre people don’t like high achievers and high achievers don’t like mediocre people."

3. TWO PAINS

Discipline or Disappointment?

A simple choice.

"There are two pains in life. There is the pain of discipline and the pain of disappointment. If you can handle the pain of discipline, then you’ll never have to deal with the pain of disappointment."

4. THE PRESENT

The great teams live in the present.

They live in the now. They control the controllable.

5. LOSING

The most competitive people hate to lose more than they love to win.

It is a separator.

The how matters.

A lot.

Championship teams do not focus on the "what."

They focus on "How" they do things.

"We're not going to talk about what we're going to accomplish. We're going to talk about how we're going to do it."

10. TIMELINESS

Simple, but true.

Showing up on time is about commitment.

Every day.

The little things matter. They lead to big things.

2. Put in the Work: "No Deposit - NO Return." Embrace hard work, develop your skills, and remember to find joy in the journey. There is no other secret to success than working harder than others.

3. Dedication Fuels Dreams: Dreams are nurtured by the fuel of determination. Do not let others shun your dreams. Dream, commit, and work. A sustained commitment is the ultimate key to success.

4. Consistent Effort: Hard work wins. We must approach goals with unwavering persistence. Consistency isn't always glamorous, but it's the foundation upon which greatness is built. The great ones usually stick with it longer than others.
