Carmel (@chs_quizbowl) finally put a stop to Saint Joseph's (@sj_quizbowl) string of consecutive state championships at nine by winning the IASP state final at Purdue over Saint Joe, 410-275. Both teams will be competing at nationals! @chsinfo @SaintJoeHigh @INPrincipals

The Return of In-Person Quiz Bowl in Indiana! The rogue Lemrac A team won Saturday's Boilermaker Buzzathon at Purdue, posting an impressive 639.5 PPG (26.44 PPB). Saint Joseph (@sj_quizbowl) and Lemrac B tied for second place.

Like two great beasts in the wilderness, Saint Joseph @sj_quizbowl and Carmel @chs_quizbowl stalked each other, then traded blows until Saint Joe narrowly won the match, 335-330 (395-345 in the prelim match). It's the ninth state title in a row for SJHS! @SaintJoeHigh @chsinfo

Congratulations to @PeteButtigieg, alumnus of @SaintJoeHigh, on becoming US Secretary of Transportation! Pete was the leading scorer for @sj_quizbowl as a junior in 1998-99 and played at quiz bowl nationals that year.

Good luck this Saturday to everyone competing at each of the four IASP regionals (Bloomington North, Hobart, SB Saint Joseph, and Tri). The 47 participating teams represents the largest state tournament in Indiana history!

Planning ahead: Indiana Kickoff is approaching at the end of the month (register!); also, Purdue's Buzzathon in January has switched set from IS-190 to IS-186.

@sj_quizbowl finished in a tie for 73rd place at #HSNCT in Atlanta this weekend. Saint Joe posted a record of 7-5, including one win in overtime. A massive field of 336 teams competed. Carmel (@chsinfo) barely missed out on the playoffs, finishing 5-5!
