🎙️ INTERVIEW: Inter Miami’s new goalkeeper @saintc17 🧤
We asked him who he looked up to growing up, and his answer was instant: Dida.
He pointed to that era of AC Milan dominance, but the real message was bigger than highlights, he talked about representation and how seeing someone who “looks like you” can matter when you’re a kid chasing the position.
He also said he’s always tried to be a student of the game: take pieces from everyone, apply what fits, and be honest about what doesn’t.

A JOURNALIST GIFTS MESSI A ROSARY FROM VATICAN
The reporter says in Spanish:
This little gift is for you, a Rosary blessed at the Vatican for you, for your children, for Antonela, for your dad, for your mom, for all the joy you've given us over these twenty years.
I love reading that the Americans are blamed for the hydration breaks. Truly next level incompetence if you believe that considering the hydration breaks started in 2022 and after the FIFA club World Cup, FIFA believe there would be a competitive advantage for teams playing indoors versus outdoors.
But yes absolutely blame the Americans cause all of us love 4 quarter soccer.
And don’t worry I said soccer.
How am I supposed to convince my kids that Messi missed a penalty and then, a few minutes later, dribbled through half the defense and scored an absolute golazo with five defenders standing on the goal line? 😭😭
🚨🇪🇨 Inter Miami may have just made one of its most interesting long-term defensive moves yet.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Inter Miami have agreed a deal to sign Fricio Caicedo, an 18-year-old Ecuadorian center back from LDU Quito. The 2008-born defender was reportedly close to joining Belgian side Royal Antwerp, but Miami stepped in and hijacked the move before it was finalized.
Caicedo is not just another youth signing. He stands around 1.95m, is listed as a left-footed center back, and has already been involved with Ecuador’s youth national teams before earning his first senior Ecuador cap in 2026.
For Inter Miami, this move fits a bigger picture. The club has needed to get younger and deeper defensively, especially at center back, and Caicedo gives Miami a high-upside profile: size, left-footed balance, international experience, and a European market that was already circling.
With Royal Antwerp previously in the frame, Miami’s reported move shows the club is not only chasing established names, but also trying to win battles for young South American talent before they explode elsewhere. Because apparently the Herons are done politely watching Europe take every teenager with a pulse and a left foot.
No official club announcement has been made yet, but if the deal is completed, Caicedo would arrive as a long-term piece for Inter Miami’s back line and one of the more intriguing young defensive additions of the club’s new era.

🚨Thoughts about the drama last night:
— The fans’ disappointment is understandable given the recent loss against Orlando and the winless streak at home.
— However, Messi, De Paul, and Suárez are players who rarely visited supporter sections even at Barcelona. Expecting that at Miami isn’t entirely fair.
— At the end of the day, we have the best player of all time playing week in and week out, that should never be taken for granted.
— @Jorge__Mas and the management should step in, set clear expectations, and organize fan events for La Familia to bring this matter to a proper close. 💗🖤
🚨🗣️ Casemiro on facing Lionel Messi in El Clásico: “Every time we played, I didn’t say much or push him — I didn’t want to make him angry. I’d make a tackle and then say ‘sorry.’ (laughs) You simply cannot stop him, it’s impossible. Barcelona could be playing badly and then — Messi goal, 3 points.” 🐐

🚨Lionel Messi effect in full force 🐐💰
The upcoming Inter Miami vs RSL game is now the most expensive MLS match of the season—with an average ticket price of $468 and cheapest entry at $419.
That’s nearly 14x more expensive than RSL’s next home game. 🤯

Don Garber’s comments may have pointed to something even bigger for Lionel Messi’s future in MLS.
We asked @thesoccerdon “With Inter Miami helping drive unprecedented attention to MLS, what do you want the league’s long-term legacy from this era to be once the Messi spotlight eventually fades?”
With @leomessi already holding an ownership stake in Inter Miami, the league commissioner speaking about him owning a club down the line raises the question of whether this is about deepening his role in Miami even further or eventually leading a club of his own in a much bigger way.
Either way, it is another reminder that Messi’s impact on Inter Miami and Major League Soccer may not stop when his playing days are over.

🎥 Don Garber speaking with us at halftime of Inter Miami vs. Colorado Rapids
Daniel Pinter spoke with us after Inter Miami’s 2-2 draw against the New York Red Bulls, reflecting on the second-half shift, the intensity of the match, and what the group can learn from letting points slip late.
The academy product came on after halftime and provided a crucial pass to Leo Messi to set up the goal for German Berterame and stepped into a game that stayed open until the final whistle, with Miami twice taking the lead but ultimately settling for a point. As opportunities keep coming for young players, moments like these become part of the learning curve at the first-team level.
More from Pinter’s reaction after the match.
