Last week, Senate Republican interns had the opportunity to observe an oral argument in the Indiana Court of Appeals. Interns experienced a case in the courtroom and had lunch with Court Judges Nancy Vaidik, Robert Altice Jr. and Cale Bradford.

On Thursday, Senate interns had the opportunity to meet with Comptroller Elise Nieshalla. They learned about her position as an elected official, Indiana's current finances and what they can do as Hoosiers.

Our interns are officially on the job now that the 2026 session is back in action. Throughout session, Senate Republican interns will learn more about the legislative process and work along side Senators and staff.

This week, we welcomed the incoming class of interns to the Statehouse for Organization Day! Interns had the chance to meet senators and see how the Senate operates before we reconvene in January.
