A 2nd CTS run by @TheAIDSNetwork is essential for #HamOnt. The evidence is clear: supervised consumption sites save lives, reduce overdoses, improve health outcomes, and DO NOT cause any appreciable harm to the surrounding community. A safer, healthier community benefits us all.
This #IOAD2021 has been a heavy one, reflecting on so many individuals lost to overdose and other consequences of failed drug policy in recent days, and over the past few years. Their lives mattered. May their memories be the spark that ignites real change.
For #OverdoseAwarenessDay, there will be lights on the tree above the Overdose Awareness memorial plaque at John and Rebecca park and purple ribbons will be placed on all the trees in the park.
Thank you @TheAIDSNetwork @keepingsix@hucchc@cityofhamilton for organizing.💜
International Overdose Awareness Day is a time to remember those who have died at the hands of broken drug policies, and a time to act to change them. @momsstoptheharm & @LethbridgeOps are doing just that. You can support them here 🔗 https://t.co/DGkQnVRe4Q #IOAD21#IOAD2021
Some helpful tips to minimize risk of an overdose, but what would be even MORE effective is equitable access to #safesupply and increased Consumption and Treatment Services. Using drugs should not be a death sentence #endoverdose
Thank you, @CAPUDofficial for developing this amazing resource for PWUD interested in being involved with policy and decision making #nothingaboutuswithoutus

Splitting and Sharing Restrictions: “like offering someone a bicycle with no wheels…it’s entirely unrealistic, unwise and unsafe.”
